1850 Real Space Raid

I have grown tired of playing the "good guy" Eldar after some years and wanted a fast moving army (playing mostly footdar). My husband suggested Dark Eldar and gave me a Dark Eldar starterbox for Christmas. Now i've finally opened it and i really love the model.

Since i have no clue on how to build them, since i've never played against Dark Eldar i started out thinking of a theme of fast moving pirates.

My husband tried to help med build a list. I might not be original or innovative, but do it work? I'm really ready to buy every single model and paint it all in a blue tinted white but i wanted to run through the streets of Commorragh to get some advise before i make an investment.


The Archon goes with the trueborn in the raider and deepstrike down. Rest as fit. Either hide and seek or forward to plow

Its quite a nice list except for a couple details

The archon with blasterborn in raider. Im not very fond of an Archon or blasterborn, and I would swap it for llhamaeans in venoms any day of the week, but I can see why you'd want to field one. Long story short, if you have a wwp you dont need a raider, and if you have a raider, you dont need a wwp. Medusae are a kinda good but situational choice for a wwp archon and the purge cotoire formation is something you might want to take a look at, as it greatly enhances venoms, even though it got hit hard after the recent faq (you can no longer use the formation benefit if your archon is embarked)

Im not a fan of kabalite warriors with blasters, heavily prefer sybarites with haywire if anything, but we're divided as a community on this one so test what fits you best.

Im also not fond of dark lance ravagers, as they lose all their utility if they jink, also they get quite expensive for what you get if you go night shields with them. I would suggest you leaving them barebones, just 3 dissintegrator cannons. They are good at killing MEQ/TEQ.

ravagers aren't that good. consider taking a cad with lhamean to get more reavers, scourge, or razorwings and make some of the kabalites objsec. and drop the dl in the true born and that can pay for the lhamean.
