Getting to shoot poison twice a turn is cute against thud guns and 200 dudes who have a 3+ save, respawn on a 2+, and have outflank. Also package it how you want, run what you want, I'm not gonna tell you how to play the game. But when you ask for advice, either lay the list building parameters out before hand or expect me to assume everything to be on the table.

Spelling out some parameters before hand is a pretty good idea, to prevent people from spamming your thread with troll comments about how everything you're doing is bad and your entire list sucks.

That being said, dump has made his desires for a list type clear. Continuing to repeat non constructive arguments about how the list is bad and the units are bad is excessively combative and inappropriate.

What should I use as a warlord? I guess that with this kind of list, I should forget about keeping it alive, but it would be best if it could manage to divert a little shooting before dying. On one hand, bikes have jink saves, but they are more expensive than troopers. Can the Yncarne be a warlord (with a trait)?

An Incubi unit, with klaivex, maybe?

A Llhamean. Keep her off the board and roll on strategic. If you bring a flyer you can probably keep her in reserves until turn 4, and if you bring a flyer wing you almost definitely can. Fly her dedicated transport around empty.

A Llhamean can't have a warlord trait. She's not a character.

Is she? I never noticed that. Just pick a squad of dudes then and throw it on one of their syberites. Bottom line is don't have them on the board for as long as possible whatever you choose. What ain't there can't be killed.

Mandrakes squad, with leader, its a points efficient way to nab a warlord trait.

Can't use them on a Ynnari list.

Then upgrade a reaver to champion and give him warlord. Or a sybarite.

Not being able to bring Mandrakes should be clue #1 there is a flaw with the list.

I never really fielded mandrakes. I miss covy units much more.

Mandrakes are nice, and they have some sexy models.

They are nice, but having their 5++ removed hurt them a lot.

The Ynnari traits table is pretty bad for the Yncarne specifically, to be honest. But Command Traits would benefit it much more noticeably.
