1850 ynarri Harlequins

Another attempt at a competitive harlequins list. Gutted not to have rising crescendo but this list gives me much more threat units and using starweavers I should hopefully get them up into heippnents faces for first person charges.

Been seeking people's advice all over the net and it seems like even oif you flat out in your turn you can charge if the opponent destroys your transport in their turn

What are your thoughts?

You know the Yncarne is 275 right?

I'm a fan of the Embrace in Ynnari Harlies. It gives them the ability to break an enemy with Hammer of Wrath and then charge a second unit and still get normal attacks.

yeah the embraces could be very useful if you have to join a combat which has already started.

Gives me 3 great close combat monsters. Reduced the nunbers of special weapons as I don't always want to completely destroy as unit in my turn and leave myself exposed on my opponents turn.

If your Harlequin combat rolls are anything like mine then you've nothing to worry about re: wiping out an opponent in one turn of combat!

Looks fairly solid, and I've always liked how Caresses terrify vehicles. Though I am a bit concerned about how you're going to deal with basic weight of fire early on - jinking can only get you so far!

Remember the order of death for Wrecked vs. Explodes too - with Explodes the vehicle vanishes first triggering no Soulburst, but with Wrecked the models disembark then the vehicle is replaced with a wreck, which triggers a Soulburst. Quite good for upsetting those who try some close range shooting!


EDIT: Consider the Hungering Blade over the Locket for the Solitaire. The Locket seems like it'd only grab wounds back occasionally, but the Hungering Blade could replace a Harlequin's Kiss and means that when he enters combat he can choose between the Blade or the Caress - and Fleshbane can make a much bigger difference against, say, Demons. The free health against Aeldari is just a nice situational thing.

How would you load out the above list? Transport filled Troupes are low model count to begin with, so how many Embraces would you equip? Always a full squad? (I'm assuming the Troupes get to strike again at their normal initiative even though they fought at I 10 in the last combat?)

Also, do you agree with the 5 man squads or should they be bumped to 6?
