I paint them clean. Eldar are sophisticated enough to clean gore off their armor and repaint a vehicle now and then

| Hey ESE. These are going to look great. The independent characters is shutting down in April though, so I dont think they are doing a 2015 HPC | |

The Challenge lives on! http://www.theindependentcharacters.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=95&t=7951 Sat and cranked out the robes today, probably all I'll be doing paint-wise today with grades due, a hockey game tonight, and an all new class starting tomorrow that I've never taught before. I really hate Finecast

| Okay, had a really crappy hockey game in net and needed to get a bit of paint therapy in. This one is 80%, just need to complete the skin, hair, and paint the rune designs on the robes: Should be done tomorrow, then that Guardian test model gets its day. | |

| Well you made up for a crappy game with a stunning paint job!
As always ESE, your work sets the standard for others to follow!

| Brilliant headswap... never thought that'd look so damn good. I've never been wild about that model but the headswap seems to be in better proportion to the body... or maybe it just changes the general movement of the sculpt. Hmmm anyway it looks really really good, way better than the original. Love the colors. The Warplock Bronze looks awesome against the blue and the yellow gem stone is a brilliant choice.
So pumped about this... probably be easier to follow this thread here than the IC's at least until the HPC forum goes up the painting section is a madhouse!

Those WE are stuck in my head ;-) but seems that you are making good progress, even if it's painting therapy;-) @Cavalier what I like with the 2015HPC are the combined commitment threats. Everything in one place. Maybe one should also post a link to the threat where they can comment on it.

I knew that if anyone would appreciate a good CWE/DE plastic head swap, it would be Cavalier Wrapped it up tonight after finally getting in some painting time: Can't decide if I am painting a unit of Guardians or my old metal Wraithguard next. Can't lose either way as I love both of those units Castigator is 90% done. I just need to add transfers, highlight the metal trim, weather it and attach it to its base.

| The Castigator looks pink, I thought he was supposed to be red?
Anyway, he looks great! Especially for an EC ;-) and your spiritseer also looks great and now I have the answer to my earlier question, the colors are grimdark and not as cleaned as GW paints them. I like grimdark better :-D

I like grimdark better :-D Oh wow, the lighting does male it look pink in that pic I assure it that it's a very deep red in person. My pregnant wife had gone to bed and I dared not wake the bear to take a pic at my painting desk Thank you for the complements on the Spiritseer paint scheme. I think Eldar look absolutely fantastic in dark and brooding colors. Aside from all of the prancing, they are a very dark race with their back story. This is up next: Took a month to soak those Wraitblades in Simple Green, finally gave up and used some dried acrylic paint solvent to finish it off. Should have a test Guardian up by this evening

| Congratulations on the pregnancy! Though I feel like it means you'll be disappearing from your plog/podcast/etc for a while. | |

| Congrats indeed, your first I presume?
You'll be back to the painting in no time, kids go to bed early, and there nothing that says 'I love you' more than offering 'to stay up and listen out for the baby'. Even if it is a good excuse to sit up half the night painting.

Thanks! And no, won't be missing the podcast. One episode tops, but I don't want to disrupt the progress we've made. Got a test Guardian done today: I'm sneaking in a few jetbikes that I started a couple of years ago but never finished. After those are done I hope to power through a few Wraithguard or Wraithblades before those Harlequins are released next weekend

| This might not seem like progress, but I sat and pre-mixed all of the paints that I will use for the CWE vehicles for my airbrush. I'm trying to streamline the process so that when I get to the vehicles I'll be able to crank them out in quick fashion. It was time well-spent Painted the riders of the jetbike a while ago, but never figured out how I wanted to paint the bikes. Hope to get these finished in a couple of days. | |

| Well congrats from me as well!! I guess you missing a podcast will be excused ;-)
And wow again on your progress. Astonishing how fast you are and your test model looks great and Spellcheck is right the blue and purple look great together. Oh and I'm a bid sad about the Castigator not being pink. Would have loved to know how you did it ;-)

| Damn, that is a sexy shade of blue. This has me tempted to consider Eldar allies despite my hating them on principle. | |

Damnit, there was me thinking I was being all clever - nowhere near purchasing anything yet but I was thinking of getting a small harlequin detachment and using scourge heads instead of the masks they come with!
