On to the Farseer. This is the second time that I've painted the model. It along with the new Ranger, War Walker, and Wraithlord models was what got me back into CWE in 2006 after not playing them for over 10 years. Working on the bases for the Wraithguard/blades as well before that Solitaire comes out this weekend.

Damn man these are looking sick! My army list is feeling stale lately and these models are making me want to make Corsair bikes! The Farseer looks great too. Keep it up ESE... your gonna blast through the HPC

Dang those bikes look cool. They look so much better on the slightly smaller bases too. Great job good sir!

Are they mounted on the large flying bases these days? These were the bases that they came with 10 years ago when I purchased them.

Yeah the ones the venoms are mounted on. I like them on the smaller ones

I was going to paint runes on the robes, but I'm happy with it as is and don't want to make it busy for the sake of making it busy.

I think the farseer probably has enough runes already!

Sorely tempted to show my wife that exchange to show how nice I am, but somehow I'm sure she'd just find something else to grumble about instead (like the bag of hurricane bolter bits for my storm raven that's sat on my bedside table and has been for at least a fortnight...oh god, it's happened, I'm starting to channel her when she's not around!)

I think I'll ad some of the metal 4th edition Harlequins to the unit with a couple of weapon swaps from the new kit. Such an amazing new kit. The Solitaire model looks so much better in person.
Yes, that is possible. No need to convert the Solitaire at all. Straight to paint once the Wraith units are all done.

Your goody two-shoes space elves look just as good as your evil ones! It's cool to see you working in colours other than purple too, that's fun.

I do still hate the way you say "put some work in on X" and show a group of models that I would happily call finished.

They came out great ESE. The paint jobs on their heads are smooth as hell. The bases are great too. You're gonna love using them too. Standard Wraithguard are total beasts. The Wraithblades are quite good too. Even in a Wave Serpent the Blades are great for late game heroics and they scare the wits out of your opponent too.

I'm going to let them sit for a day or two before I decide if I want to mess with transfers on these. Infinity circuit symbol on the head, Iybraesil hand symbol on the tabard thingy. We'll see.

I'm going to make the bases for the Wraithblades tomorrow along with the Cobra. I'm thinking about painting the Cobra along with my two Warphunters that I bought way back when. Sort of all the D-Cannon nonsense in one go Razz

Cobra and 2 Warp Hunters? Thats gonna be a beautiful thing to see on the board. BTW I was talking with some guys on another forum about using the Warp Hunter... and I'm gonna try running mine again. The gist was take cover saves not jinks not sure why I didn't think of this before.

As for the WG I think you could leave the heads bare. Not sure how small the wraith rune is on your transfers but I found on the old models the horizontal tips on either side of the rune would always touch the gemstones, or the shaded area around them.

Have fun with the blades... experiment with the majority toughness buff it can make fragile HQ units suddenly diesel.
