| They're 'robots', they don't need heads! They haven't even got eyes in them so it's not like they need them to see! | |

- They came out great ESE. The paint jobs on their heads are smooth as hell. The bases are great too. You're gonna love using them too. Standard Wraithguard are total beasts. The Wraithblades are quite good too. Even in a Wave Serpent the Blades are great for late game heroics and they scare the wits out of your opponent too.
I plan to find out soon in our upcoming Highlander league Looking good, as always ESE. You will enjoy them, I played a Wraith list in our recent Highlander tournie - Wraithseer, Wraithlord, Wraithknight, Wraithblades and Wraithguard, plus a Serpent and one or two other things. A good, old-fashioned beat down, wasn't fun. Couldn't even scratch his paint all game, really, but my dice let me down on an epic scale, too. I think at the end I had killed 3 'guard or 'blades, and a vehicle, while I was down to my Talos and my last two Mandrakes. Something like that.

| Blimey that's a lot of wraithguard! And the new ones are noticeably taller than the old aren't they (sorry, that's probably only news to me - I don't have any of either at the moment)
Do scorpions, I'd love to see your take on them!

Nope, just clay. Roll it flat, pop it in the oven, break it into little cool pieces.

| Is it much cheaper than buying a sheet of slate and breaking that up? | |

Depends if you get the slate free through work...

Depends if you get the slate free through work... I wouldn't even know where to get slate, although I'm probably just too lazy to look for it The Super Sculpey is really easy to work with and easy to drill/pin. You can press mold cool designs in too. Might try something Eldar-ish on the bases of my Wraithknight and Revenant if I get inspired. Got some work in on the SCorpions tonight for the test models: Still need to shade the recesses with some purple wash before I tackle the black and brass. I'm happy with it.

| Garden centres will sell you a massive bag of slate for not very much, though it'll need washing before you use it.
I work in the planning department of my local council, so we often get slate samples sent to us when someone is building an extension or new house. They'd only go in the bin otherwise - the big advantage is they're already nice and flat.

| Lucky, T_B_E! That's awesome. I had some weeds growing in my front yard which ripped up a piece of slate from the ground, so i've been using that!
