12+3d6 is hardly guaranteed for T1. I would go so far as to say its less than average chance. Its a chance sure - but with average rolls its only 22-23". Only a couple of the deployment types are less than 24" apart. He will charge T2 regardless (12+d6+12+3d6).

| Dont need to blitz turn 1, can cast Twilight Path ways for 2 movement, which is 36"
Or you can blitz for average +7 with the advance for 25" movement
Twilight Pathway is worded so you "move as if it was the movement phase" not "move this character up to its movement like in the movement phase", so you can advance with it. This might be faq tho.
There will be times no matter what you will never turn 1 charge b.c Long Ways table sides and they are literally on the back edge, if this happens tho, its basically an auto win for you so i wouldnt worry about turn 1 charge.

I never mentioned blitz? I have no idea why you are on about that?? Blitz nets you a 12+7+3d6 total charge (av 29") but also sees the solitaire die T1 since he is unsupported and alone. Twilight pathways is a (just better than) 50/50 success to cast and yes you can double move - but the basic harlies are a way better target for this power than the solitaire. In instances like hammer and anvil, the enemy deploying so deep is far from an auto win - plenty of armies can shoot you off the table easily from that range.

| Cough cough* Command points.
I was talking about blitz b.c its an easy way to get a turn 1 charge. And some deployments have 18" dead zones now as well.
Your not going to fight many players at all that 100% of there models are 48" away from you turn 1.
The solitaire is my MVP for my Harlequins, it will for me so far out of the 16 games of Harlequins i've play get the charge whenever i wanted and never failed, it aways got his points back and was a problem for my opponents.
If Guard/SM are at the edge of the table, they have no where to go, i can charge those 3-4 tanks and they will never fall back b.c lack of table edge.

| Yeah, ok mate... you are talking about these things as absolute and they aren't and you seem to change the situation every time. YRMV but I don't see him as this absolute monster you seem to think he is. The enemy can easily bubble wrap and defend from a T1 solitaire charge. He is an OK combatant but hardly game breaking and still easy to put down - especially when you throw him out and make him the closest enemy. You don't have to deploy 48" deep - 36 is plenty. You played 16 games of 8th have you with harlies? Really? | |

| Yes we are filming many of them, there are days im at the club for 12 hrs playing 3-4 games.
Our club is 24/7, its a membership and everyone has a key, some come in at 9am other at 4pm and many at 6-7pm. I get a game in a 9am, one at 4pm and another at 7-8pm.
We have a chat set up for players to ask, sometimes they want one at 10pm and sense i work at home and make my own hours i play these pick up games at any time i can/want.
B.c everyone is learning the rules and wanting to play its extremely easy for me to get in games.
Im am very fortunate to have a wife/job that i can do this and a club that is 24/7 with 20+ active members.
Its not 100% for sure, but 90% the time something is turn 1 chargeable NOTE this doesnt mean its a good idea to do it! Im not saying YOU HAVE TO!!!! Charge turn one!!!, Im saying its extremely possible!

| Especially if you're playing solo Harlequins (I.e. Hyper-elite force of small numbers). 5/6 times you'll get first turn.
I've found Skyweavers to be good bodyguards/ bubble wrap for the Solitaire. They enjoy similar targets and they're one of the only reliable ways to keep up with a Solitaire (the other options being a Shadowseer casting Twiligh Pathway on a unit, or following with a Transport).
