The Cult of Tears

GEMS EVERYWHERE. I honestly got tired of painting them and then flipped it over and found about a dozen more.

Thanks for the kind words. It took much longer than I expected and I killed a makeshift drybrush doing it.

I think it looks pretty good, but I feel like it needs a little more red accents on it. I'm still deciding what to do. Hmm, maybe some designs like on the GW version:

I decided in order to be more Dark Eldary, I'd change my army's name. I was thinking the Cult of Crimson Tears, but then I found out there's a book called Crimson Tears.

Is that proof of awesomeness or cheesy if I go with that? I have to decide.

Just gonna say it: I stripped a bunch of my dudes.

I took a bunch of the guys I painted when I first started and soaked them in Simple Green for a few days and they came out clean pretty clean. I painted this dude as a prototype for my new colour scheme:

I love the look of your Razorwing. The gems contrast with the metal black body very nicely

I think I'm going to add some blood splatter or something to the Wyches, maybe some blood on the base for the Kabs.

Like the new scheme the black is very well done..a litle bit of grey highlights?

I think perhaps I need to work on my lighting. There's actually quite a lot of grey highlights painted on, but they're very subtle on the photos. You can just barely make out the brightest grey point on the ginger Wych's right (our left) breast.
