Scourge HQ

I'd like to use a Scourge model as one of my HQs (either as a Swooping Hawk Autarch or else an Archon whose wings are just decorative).

My question is, how can I make it clear that he's a commander and not just a Solarite?

There is tons of thing you can do, like using an alternate Archon head, like I did with my custom-made Solitaire:


You can accentuate it on the base like making it into a pile of corpses or a dais or make his/her wings more ornamented than the normal scourges. Also, wargear changes help. A solarite can't have a Huskblade, right? If you plan to field a different weapon, just add it as a decorative part.

Unfortunately, I only have one huskblade and it's already in use.

I was initially considering a head-swap but I really like the scourge head. I'm messing around with his wargear at the moment, but so far my favourite option was a simple blast pistol and dagger (or a blast pistol and venom blade, which doesn't help either). Still, I'll seen if I can find anything more interesting or convert one or the other in some way.

Decorating the base is a good idea, I'll give that a go.

One other thing I was considering was giving him a tail, possibly made out of a Necron Whip Coil. The main issue is where to attach it and how to get said attachment to blend in with the rest of the model.
