| Same cost and we all know the differences between the two by now. How has everyone been finding them? I still can't decide which is best

| In my 1500+ games I bring 2 DL scourges and 1 dissie ravager, just to mix the weapons a bit. Take in consideration I have only 1 ravager, so it's a forced choice, but one I'd probably do anyway. | |

| I've played the scourges for some time now, and i have to say : you're not moving that often. And when you're not moving, they kick really hard. | |

| That's what I have discovered so far with massed Reapers. Staying still isn't difficult. | |

| I've found Scourges to be the better choice for Dark Lances. More for less, with the ability to start off the table really is what sells it for me. Ravagers are reserved for Dissies, as I prefer Venoms over Raiders. | |

| If you put the Scourge in the right place, your enemy will ignore them. Get them far enough away that the enemy has to move a lot to get to them or commit overkill heavy weapons to put them down. That's opposed to Ravagers, which are always a target because they're big scary boats. | |

| Well Scourges for Lances, Jets for Dissies and ravagers are multi tools... normally i would run 2 of each. | |

| So many of my opponents appear to have realised that Scourges are made of air and just wipe them all out turn 1. I usually take 3 units. Nearly everyone I play has some sort of deep strike, so impossible to stay out of range. | |

| I've had a similar experience with Scourges, they are not resilient enough to deal with how high a priority they are. Ravagers have done better for me. | |

| Even in cover, Scourges die to to a stiff breeze (oh, but at least they have a 6+++, yeah that'll save them ). However, I like the models and I actually want them to be a core theme of my list so I'm going to carry on with them for the time being. It probably helps that I only own one Ravager though . . . | |

| Half of the problem is that I'm running 4 Ravagers, so anything with -AP is being shot at them and all the small arms fire is going into the Scourges (damn split fire). So they are at least getting 3+ saves most of the time, but it doesn't take a lot of shots to kill them still. Those same shots going into the Ravagers would likely do very little.
The hardest thing I have to deal with at the minute, is that I use Yvraine behind one of the Scourge squads, giving reroll 1's and Soulburst. So by dropping them, I'm losing out on 8 (buffed) Lance shots each turn. This is irreplaceable by Ravagers at anywhere near the same cost.

| If you're running Ynnari scourge get the bonus of soulburst if they happen to have another unit close enough by for it to go off. | |

Or, more realistically, if they have an Yvraine pumping Soulbursts on them.

| Scourges costs 150 - 4 DL, but not assault Ravager costs 155 - 3 DL, but 10 wounds instead of 5 and toughness 6 instead of 3
So I prefer a Reaper insteed of a Ravager (3,5 DL instead of 3), Ravager with Disintegrator cannon is the other clue and Scourges with Shardcarbine (70 points) - best poisen-waepon at 18"...
