Apart from the helmet design, I don't like them at all.

I'd stake money that some people will be painting their underboob as exposed skin.

I might try to convert something similar to the helmets.

It's not like their armor were protective to begin with.

Is the purpose of armour for protection or seduction?

Otherwise, I quite like the special weapons as an upgrade on the Blaster or Shredder, plus the helmets and the dynamism of the poses are neat.

If your armor don't protect you against enemy bolter, removing a few layers to gain mobility, while keeping enough to ward you against small injuries is not that bad. Plus, trueborn have money. They can make bargains with haemies. So why care about protection?

I love those models but I don't find the time to assemble mine

Raging Heroes are full of it..."unreleased" even though the void Hunters have been around for years. I contacted them about 12 months ago to find out where I could purchase them but got no response.

Only thing that concerns me is they are 30mm scale so would they be just slightly off scale against slim line GW eldar?

I also don't like the titties being on show...great to look at but I don't want my models having their titties on show.

Well, it's like the old Kruellagh model, some painteed her in a catsuit and some with alot of showing skin. But yes I would let them show what they've got ;D We are Dark Eldar not SoB!

They look slightly smaller then GW. At least previous Blood Vestals. Wyches look way more bulkier.

Cheesecake is delicious, but I don't want it in my Dark Eldar. There's a lot that I love about the setting and aesthetic of 40k, and reinterpreting it through a pinup lens undermines a lot of what I like.

And again, if it's what you like, that's fine. We get to like different things, and nobody should feel attacked by differing tastes in toy soldiers.

I want my warriors to be wearing sensible shoes, especially if they are quick and lithe and lightly armored. I want to look at my warriors and think, "that is a badass space elf," and not, "I'm not sure she can even run in those heels."

Dark Eldar attempting to seduce the enemy in the midst of battle is not part of the lore, which is good, because it doesn't make any sense. The majority of cultures and species predated upon by Dark Eldar aren't going to find them attractive in the first place because they're from different cultures and species. A lot of races - Necrons, Orks, Tyranids (sort of) - don't even have sex. Space Marines are basically chem geld eunuchs. Only regiments of the Astra Militarum who come from cultures that like skinny women might be interested, but that also seems unlikely because of the whole shooting at them thing.

For their part, Dark Eldar see other races as base animals, and are often described refusing to even speak other species' languages (despite understanding them perfectly) because to do so would sully their tongue. It would be like considering seduction a valid strategy when hunting wild boar.

Seductive, cheesecake Dark Eldar don't have to make sense for you to like them. You can just like them, because you think the models are pretty.

Oh its really just for fun and giggles. If you look at it from fluff perspective every Wych is a part of Torture Porn industry that keep revitalising rich Dark Eldar. Not only they need to kill beatifully and gory, but they need to look appealing when doing that.

Cause Archons might wanna go to the private chambers after that Arena Show...hehe. I originally ordered a unit to fit more with Lelith looks and to play as bloodbrides, but since bloodbrides were always so godawfull i never actually painted it.

Onme thing to note - they arent visually compatible with GW Wyches at all...with Kabalites and all the rest of them yes, but Wyches and them are a different breed completely.

That and I see Trueborn with a distorded sense of pride and self-love. Which extend into making weird/poor equipment choices. They don't want to seduce. They want to LOOK seductive.

I agree with the first part but differ in opinion on the last sentence.
Yes seduction of the enemy is not a logical goal, but at least in older codexes I read that they sent whole ships with spectaters to watch the wyches from above. Some seductive outfits seem to fit in with the idea that spectators like to watch hot girls revitalising you and themselves by slaughtering slave races. Considering for us adrenaline boost both sex drive and agression the expectation that the same would go for dark eldar would not be to far fetched for me.

And don't forget that a Medusae is basically a walking recorder. They grow word thingies that let you re feel and see everything they saw and felt.

I like them specifically because they're cheesecake. At some point in the past, 40k went from this:

It went from gritty, exaggerated, and cool to crisp, clean, and boring. At some point the game started taking itself way too darn seriously. They toned down all the sex, drugs, and rock & roll and replaced with endless, mind-numbing, repetitive, constant, droning, violence. Sometimes it's aliens, sometimes it's humans, sometimes it involves furthering some 12 year old's fanfiction plot made into canon by the grace of the writing team, sometimes it's just to fill paper. It doesn't have to be this way. I like the Raging Heroes models because while they are clearly trying to capitalize on the sophomoric tastes of collectors of underserved factions of 40k, they have some heart in them. They're all wearing crazy heels and in sexy poses but with really cool weapons and helmets and their HQs are wearing armor from Final Fantasy and it's awesome. Everything about it is awesome.

I have three models from them ... They are two archon and a succubus and they fit right in with my army ... And look pretty close to the GW models so I take them when I feel like doing something other than the general archon model.

The Trueborn/kabalite models look great, just a shame they can't be bought separately from the wych models

I really like them, the whole set actually. Except for that head on the left. It looks like a blow up dolls head...

Space marines standing around without helmets on, units standing and posing. I don't think of my models as looking like they do on the battlefield, it is just their still life at some time. And these fit that well. Great dynamic weapons too. Our splinter rifles suck in comparison

As for the Wych models, I’m fairly sure i’d be shaving off the nipples and painting ‘under suit’rather than ‘flesh’. If only to avoid r34 accusations.

Topics like this make me glad I jumped on those Juan Diaz Daemonettes while I had the chance.
