New Dark Eldar start collecting box on the horizon?

I was browsing the Games Workshop store over the past few weeks and noticed that at first, under Drukhari, the Start Collecting box was sold out. No big deal, lots of things have been selling out. But then a few days later it went to "No Longer Available Online", and now it's not even listed anymore as a product on the site. This seems to indicate we have a new Start Collecting box on the horizon.

For fun, what would you like to see in a new Start Collecting box? What would be something new to put in that would make a Start Collecting box an attractive purchase and good value for even a long-time collector?

I could see us getting three Start Collecting Boxes.

Start Collecting: Kabals - Archon, 10 x Kabalite Warriors, Raider, maybe something else (Incubi or Scourges)?
Start Collecting: Wych Cult - Succubus, 10 x Wyches, 3 x Reavers, 5 x Hellions
Start Collecting: Haemonculus Covens - Haemonculus, 10 x Wracks, Talos

Considering the existence of the Gangs of Commoragh box, i'd prefer some plastic beasts in the Cult box, but that would be indeed a very nice scenario Wink

I can't see a new start collecting box without at least a raider for the wyches and a venom for the Covens.

I think that our equivalent will be with haemonculus, talos, 2 wracks units and 1 raider.

It Could be amazing if instead wracks, the Start collecting included 3 grotesques. Maybe in this way GW would able to sell the big stock of grotesque that surely have.

I was thinking along the same lines, but it seems unlikely that we’ll get three new start collecting boxes when Aeldari only had theirs updated. One can dream, though.

I think they’ll likely replace the reavers with something else. Possibly an elites choice, but I don’t think putting any of our fine cast elites in a start collecting is an option. So more likely something like Hellions or a Ravager. And they can’t replace the Archin, unless they’re giving us a new Succubus model, or even a brand new HQ choice. And Kabalites are a staple, but could be replaced with Wyches to give it a more Cult theme.

Considering the existence of the Splinter Assault box (Raider + 10 kabs), i think the start collecting should indeed be offering Venoms. Splinter assault and Start Collecting and redundant.

You still got that one available ? All of those transport boxes disappeared some time before 8th here i Believe.
But I'd say a box for Coven might not be too far of in my opinion. They got alot of focus late 7th.

It's still available here in UK. (Start collecting... and was reboxed as Drukhari late 2017 as that's when i picked my two up).

Great value and I like it as it is, but any Drukhari box would benefit from more blasters...

True, but I've also seen plenty of things that followed this same pattern be no longer offered, or come back with different units. Examples off the top of my head are the Tyranid Swarm box (used to include a carnifex and some different units, but now includes the contents of their new start collecting with some extras to fill it out). Craftworlds also got a new start collecting and "army" box set this edition.

Just seems it's possible we may be next in line to get an updated start collecting and possible bigger "army" box set to go along with the release of our upcoming Codex.

An army box should provide ravagers.
I would love a box with 2 venoms and 2 ravagers, for instance.

I feel kinda dumb. I bought 2 boxes of hellions a few weeks ago. I just noticed that gangs of commorragh box. For $10 I could have had another 6 Reavers...

Just another demonstration of really stupid pricing strategies by GW. truly makes no sense. I'd prefer to get 2 GoC boxes than pretty much anything else...assuming reavers and/or hellions are made useful in the slightest...

IMO, gangs of Commoragh was designed because they realized they add TONS of unsold Hellions, and noone was ever buying them. They packed them up with reavers (that were selling like hot dogs in 7th) to dispose of their stock.

Basically, it was a "buy some reavers, have some free hellions" promotion.

It worked, i bought two from an online retailer at -25% rrp (before it became a webstore exclusive).
