Points Changes from BoLS

I've got two fighters and a bomber, will definitely be taking an airwing if the missiles are 3d3

Yeah wow that's a huge change, shows how great these pts changes are.

Airwing of 2 fighters and a bomber sounds excellent, plus since they are in an airwing you can take whichever trait you want which benefits fliers most, maybe poisoned tongue honestly since rerolls of 1 for monoscythe missiles would be nice for the small number of failures.

Yeah that is crazy, but thats how DE always been, our vehicles used to be 65pts with the guns lol.

But now i need to check mine.... OMG that will take hours. i have like 17k points.......

BS is from players, you can change it your self, its not to hard, just save a copy then play with it, will take about an hour to get used to it.

Ive done it in the past for Tyranids, i did the 6th ed Tyranids 1st update one with the new models.

O yes I've thought about that as well, pulled out the old school paper and calculator to likely use for the next two-three weeks or so. Not great but I'll be happy regardless once I have codex in hand. Though I might have to try changing BS as amishprn is suggesting.

I have been thinking about taking 6 dissi ravagers for 750pts near an archon or 2. Or they can deepstrike with the stratagem.

54 assault3 st5 -3ap 2d shots can kill a lot of stuff. Armour, hordes, elite infantry etc. Especially with the archon re roll bubble.

With a doomseer they can take out an Imp night.

Can you remind me what the Archon reroll bubble does? Is it only for <Kabal> units? I know the info is on one of these threads but my mind is spinning with all the news that i can't remember where i saw it posted

Yeah idk if it say sall units or Infantry, its pretty important, for now i'm playing it as infantry b.c i dont have the official rules.

Lawrence got his archons out and was giving raiders and rerolls.

What about Drazhar? Do you know about any points reduction?

Drazhar when down in pts massively. Don't quote me on the pts cost but I think he went down to something like 80/90pts. They also changed his extra attacks on 6s thing to he fights twice when he charges/is charged.

Black Heart is meh in most cases but wow that sounds like a very solid idea. Ravagers don't really need the traits of any of the other kabals that much, and the black heart relic aura is going to be super solid for any ravagers. Plus you can also get the really nice black heart warlord trait, so a whole lot of goodies in that combo.

the points on archon v kabs seems like a counterpoint to the patrol spam. you get more out of battalions but less of the mix and match with the patrols kabal choice.

True, but Kabalites all went down a point and Raiders went down what, 25 base? It's a fair tradeoff for an Archon tax.

Well if you can send them to combat Archon are not a tax anymore i would say. The problem is that cabal have nothing good in CC but if you really want to have your CC deathstar Incubi are still an option

Any word on how subfactions interact in detachments? Do you just choose one Obsession and apply it to all relevant units? Or does having, say, a single Beastmaster in a Kabal Battalion negate obsessions for everyone?

Second option, but you can take the "mercenary" unit without losing your obsession

I am still very old school in this respect. Never use Battlescribe, it only dulls your memory when it comes to knowing the points of your book.

BS makes you lazy in the long run. Know the book and it won't be a problem!

I actually have the opposite opinion. I spend so much time on Battlescribe I can basically recite our index wargear cost and profiles off the top of my head! To each his own though
