| The codex isn't fully released, but we have a good taste of it's content. So, my question is : How do you intend to use it? So far, I see several tactics/army orientations :
-Mass Wyches (+1 s cult, +1 attack drug) with net screaming jets near ennemy, backed with black heart ravagers and small prophet of flesh patrol.
-Freakshow (all the moral debuff you can find)
-Gunboats of either black heart or poisonned tongue. Could work well with some morale shenanigan.
-Mass 20wracks and use most of the command points to repop injuried units.

| I intend to acquire it, thoroughly inspect the unit entries, and make informed decisions once I have the book in my hands. | |

| The correct answer should be all of the above.
I might finally put Wyches down on the table for the first time since 5th.
The question is which Obsession best suites my needs? Which one best suite yours?

| I mean I definetly intend to focus on flayed skull massed kabalites in transports for my initial list with a sprinkling of wych cults/haemonculus covens to benefit from alliance of agony, but I agree with TeenageAngst, it's a bit early to decide on best tactics/strategies without actually getting some playtesting in. Fortunately Saturday isn't too far off, and I will definetly get a test game in then. | |

| Sorry, speculating here (book will be there friday) :
1st turn :
- Deep strike kabalites in RF range. Proceed to shred things.
- First turn charge bikes to prevent enemy from firing.
2nd turn :
- Disengage bikes from the targets you want to shoot at.
- Reengage targets that disengaged.
- Shoot what you want.
I think you can pull off a list where :
A, the opponent's key units are destroyed in the first turn
B, his back-up units never actually get to shoot and spend the game fighting decoy bikes.

While it's the best obsession for the first turn, is it the best for the following turns? -How do you intend to protect your self from ennemy's own deep strike? Still, not a bad strategy overall.

Eh ? Rapid fire range is 12". You deepstrike at 9.1". Or are you assuming that everyone bubblewraps ? In that case, I think even O. R. is not helping.

| Something that can go second. So a lot of Deepstriking, hard alpha strike, and a lot of movement.
Precisely as a standard raid

| Been running some Beta matches recently. So far I've had *crazy* good results using a Flayed Skull Blasterborn + BH Spearhead + BH/FS Air Wing list (depends if you want ignore cover [though the best guns are already -3/4] or the 6+++ on your flyers.....)
SJ the Blasterborn in Venoms to kill basically whatever you want T1 (ie, 3 Devilfish lol), Voidraven bombs their heavy inf., Ravagers SJ in and finish off their last "big guy" - blam, that's basically game at that point.
With 1/2 the army off the table it's basically a null deployment. I dont even know how I'd defend against it myself. Also! If ya wanna get real deep in it, start looking at Khymeras friend. 20pt for a unit of 2. 5 of these will net you 5 Screaming Jets for 100pt (admittedly you have to take a Beastmaster now but that's ok).
10 Khymera buys you 10 Screaming Jets. for 250pt w/BM. See where this is going? It gets crazy man, Null Deployment is BACK baby

| You need 10 drops on the battlefield in order to deepstrike 10 units.
It's a bit steep to spend 10 CPs on SJ but you get the idea.
