2000 Point Prophets of Flesh/Flayed Skull Tournament List

Wracks screen and hold close objectives and PoF strategem if necessary. Grots/Talos/Haemons/Djin Archon push asap for board control. Ravagers and second Archon sit back and fire away. Warriors use speed to get objectives, and shoot what's necessary.

Flayed Skull makes Archon more killy at S5 charge and the extra attacks. Strategem helps shooting at any air targets that talos can't get to. Kabalite are always rerolling 1s on splinter rifles/cannons and Ravagers are ignoring cover.

Prophets of flesh give loads of high T, 4++, 6+++ models to get in your face and if they push up, wracks can dip and come back at full. Basically the list is threat saturation.

Probably lacking in Darklight is the one main weakness imo.

I think you can get there without the heavy darklight, but I do want to add that I think the Archon will have to be your Warlord in order to access Alliance of Agony for Diabolical Soothsayer.

You're right, I don't really use battlescribe much. And yea, the Darklight is so good. Might have to drop some grots for another blaster squad or Razorwings.

Your Wracks are just going to be screening, but you're already playing an aggressive list. I'd drop to squads of 5 with 1 Ossefactor IMO. You just don't need more than that.

I'd also swap to Venoms if you can. You'll want that volume of fire against infantry, and you're missing a huge benefit of Flayed Skull running Raiders. Running Raiders also concentrates your troops, who are going to be running around doing objective stuff, in their damaged Raiders... I'm usually fine with folks running Raiders, but in your list in particular, Venoms are the 100% way to go.

Your massive Grot blob makes them somewhat more susceptible to focused fire. They're Ld8, so if 5 die? you're looking at a pretty good chance of losing more. If they're all one blob, most tournament level armies have enough firepower to knock 5 down and create that issue.

@Chippen Good points, I changed it up more inline with what you said. Dropped 2 of the wracj squads down, they'll still be tougher objective.holders in the back. And the larger squad can be more aggressive.

Split the Grots like you said. They'd be lead 9 with Urien but still. I think tempting an opponent to try to put all that fire into them is exactly what they should be doing imo. I feel like taking 20 wounds off T6 with 4++, 6+++ is pretty tough but splitting them is the safe bet.
Took the extra Cannon on the Venoms to really take advantage of Flayed Skull like you said.
