Building a list for team tournaments

I'm going to be in a 2000 pt team tournament with an aeldari player and a space wolves player. Does anyone have experience in this kind of event? What kind of role do you guys think DE fit into teamwise? Defensive (don't give up many points)? Offensive (try to go for wins and points)? Other roles?

My list will most likely be a mix of kabal and coven. Heavy on talos engines, ravagers and flyers with some kabalites and wracks mixed in.

I'd build my list in 2 parts:

1- heavy lance-spam (disintegrators included), haywire blaster.
2- small units of red grief jetbikes for quick objective steal.
