| Well let's be honest, I'm not really buying into the rumour I'm posting here. But it's quiet, and there's not a lot to discuss so may as well put it up. https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/449643253042511882/543797712139845642/1549721291236.png So this would mean a Dark Eldar Lord of War, as well as the end of finecast models by 2022. Which would mean either new plastic kits or discontinuation of a reasonable chunk of our model range. Off the top of my head that would be all 3 beasts, beast master, grots, mandrakes, incubi, Urien, Lelith, Drazhar. | |

| I can see the old Eldar lines getting phased out in favour of the Ynnari, similar to how the old Marines are slowly getting left in the dust thanks to the Primaris. I could see Lelith getting an updated model (she's all in on Ynnari in the fluff, after all) but I'd worry that a big chunk of our line will just disappear.
Not that I want this to happen, it just seems plausible to me.

It depends on whether you count individual Chapters, etc. Not counting Forgeworld, thats all but Ultramarines, and all Chaos Legions except Thousands Sons, Death Guard and anything Khorne. Chaos Daemons don't (again not counting Forgeworld). Also us (Drukhari), Harlequins and Tyranids. And Genestealer Cults I guess.

| My man on the inside says people are basically rolling their eyes with regards to the Ynnari. They're a balance nightmare and their lore has required retcons with almost every subsequent release. If they do get a release it will probably be a complete rework.
New LoW for every faction? Could happen, wouldn't be surprised if there's just one big Eldar family one.
Massive rework of 40k? I mean yeah sure, they've already been doing that though, in small spurts.
GW is basically turning 40k into the miniatures equivalent of Magic: The Gathering for better or for worse. There's gold in them thar hills and phasing out old models/armies and forcing players to stay current by buying new product to maintain a competitive edge is just the kind of meta churn that gets people to spend their entire paychecks before a GT. This is also why the painting tips have been less aimed at "here's how to have a high quality, intricately painted model" and more "here's how to slap-dash some painted minis so you have a 3 color minimum ready for the tournament". Seriously, look at the quality of Duncan videos from, say, a couple years ago to today, it's absolute night and day difference.

| Well I guess this means the Tantalus is going from heavy support to LoW status with a possible new model released from gw ... But that does make me curious as to whether or not the harlequin LoW will be lady malys returning as the avatar of the laughing God (I think it's Cegorach) | |

| I doubt Dark Eldars will have any new model. Even the Dais. As Teenage said, at most, it will be a new eldar LoW. I don't think they will add any mechanics to allow us to use it without losing our obsessions, though. | |

| Well.. does that include FW or no?
Lets say this is true... OMG Harlequins are getting a LOW!?!?!?!?
I honestly think Ynnari will be re-worked and Yncarne will be a LoW, and that will count for "all Aeldari"

| Ooh...Tantalus as a LoW would be cool...especially if we get a regular kit for it. | |

You would *think* that would take into account FW stuff, otherwise it's a lot of new Lords of War being produced.

| Here is what I would like to see. Vect as our LOW. Give him a Primarch lite statline and some cool abilities like If Vect is your warlord a Back Hearts detachment my include units from a single cult and/or coven in the detachment. These units keep their cult or coven abilities.
For the Quins, if you don't do an Avatar of the laughing god, then make "The Solitaire" The elite guys are the ones before being saved by the laughing god. "The Solitaire" is the one the myths are about, the first one that was saved from Slaanesh empowered by the souls of each of the Solitaires that have followed and saved increasing his power over the many millennia. Make him the beast that he was in editions past that greater demons would run and hide from.

| My dad works at Nintendo and warns not to trust 4chan greentexts on face value. Some of the stuff is entirely likelu, but it can easily be simple guesswork, based on what people have been asking for/ not asking for to drive some shock value and get attention. | |

| If true, I bet they just retool the Voidraven as a super heavy. Big model, big base, unique weapons, no need to waste precious time and money on the space elves that could be spent on new toys for the Imperium | |

Way to small for that, its a bomber, many armies have a fighter and a bomber (Orks, DW, Necrons, CWE, Sm, are just a few). It fits a theme, it wont change.

| I think the Dias or Tantalus makes most sense as our LoW because they could be used by any of the three factions. A singular Coven beast would be useless to Kabalites and Cults, and players who stick to one of them would have no LoW then. It makes more sense for GW to release a LoW for Drukhari which can be used by any of the three subfactions, such as a large scale tranport. | |

| I want Vect but give him a <SUPREME OVERLORD> keyword which allows him to be taken in any Drukhari detachment without losing obsessions etc. | |

| I'd want to make sure it was any non-Ynnari detachment, but that should definitely be the case.
OOH...what if he had a rule where if you took him in a batallion detachment, then you could take covens, cult, and kabal units and still maintain individual obsessions for them?

| Nice ideas, but I think the most likely hope would be that he is <BLACK HEART> but also has abilities which work on any and all <DRUKHARI>. That way he could run alongside any army in a side-Detachment and still be useful. As much as I'd love him to be useful for anyone, I can;t help but look at Guilliman for example and think that he'll still be <SPECIFIC>. | |

| Or, (as this seems to be the theme gw wants to go with in our army) we get 3 LoW that, while still more powerful than regular models, couldn't stand on their own against other armies Lord's of war, Tantalus (or similar) for kabal, supreme gladiator type for cults (lelith gets a rework and new model for this (( very doubtful)) ), and coven get a roided out monster that smashes together both the talos and cronos engines into a soul sucking, flesh hacking beast... | |
