Fighting Harlequinns

Hi all,

After beating the Death guard twice, I've been challenged by another member of the club tonight and he tends to bring a lot of Harlequinns. Ill be hounest, Im not really sure what they are capable of and I've never seen anyone field them.

They look like slightly better versions of wyches on paper.

Can anyone give advice or tell me how they will likely try to play so I can prepare for it?

They are actually worst Wyches. Point for points they deal less damage and have less wounds.

They have better base shooting vs vehicles and bikes, more S6 and more Haywire, but they dont really have the volume of shooting they need.

To beat them just out shoot them, loads of S4-S5 shooting, dont worry about AP as they ignore all AP.

Skyweavers and their characters is what makes them good, Troupes are more of a waste of points, 100pt 5man unit either only melee or only shooting is very costly.

Ah ok, I'll lean more on shooting than assaulting units then, and i'll take my haywire scourges to help with any Skyweavers. Have they got any particularly nasty tricks that I should be wary of?

I believe skyweavers are a jetbike unit so haywire won't so a whole lotta good, just drown them in poison and dissie shots and that should do the trick, their save is a 4++ with 16"-24" movement t4 2w

Skyweavers are 3 wound

Well it was hard fought it then end. My dice just hate me. Managed to scrape a win against them. My haywire scourges helped a lot against his sky weavers, but when he realised what I was up to he just disembarked all his troupes and got them into combat quickly. They hit like a truck, and those bikes just mowed down my transports like they were made of paper.

Lelith was amazing though, she managed to kill a solitaire and a shadowseer by herself, and then started on any nearby troupes.

It was a fun game, I should have gone first but he seized. Should I have had the first turn I think I would have crippled him but hindsight is a wonderful thing.

But yeah, following your advice, poison and dissies did the trick. Thanks
