Maybe Obsidian Rose could give you an edge. Your Blasters with 24" and Dark Lances with 42" dont have to get so close.

Edit: And reroll one Woundroll. Almost forgot...

Keep in mind that Knights have the Rotate Ion Shields stratagem, where the one model gets a 4++ save until the end of the phase.

It makes killing one very difficult. We need to focus one down due to our anemic shooting, and the stratagem really hurts as a result. So we need to focus one down, but we cannot focus one down. So you need to position yourself so you can split into 2 different units, and switch targets as soon as they pop Rotate Ion Shields. Unfortunately this will leave you exposed.

The alternate approach is to use combat instead, mostly Incubi+Drazhar. Unfortunately, Chaos Knights get a -1 damage strat for close combat, which REALLY hurts. Once again, we need to focus one knight down, and they will make that one knight very difficult to deal with.

Long story short, make sure you know what kind of defensive profiles you are going into, and do some practice rolls before so you know what to expect. Do not expose yourself to lost causes, you need sure things.

Personally I run a Close Combat focused list, generally built around Draz, a Fight Last Archon (Ancient Evil), then as many Incubi in transports as possible. That is the only way I can really pull down Knights (at a 2k level). At 1k, you are on an even shorter board, with less space for you to hide.

Try out the list, and see how it goes. Dont get discouraged if you lose, make a list of "lessons learned" and try to remember them next time.
