| Fellow Archons:
The local tournament scene in the Puget Sound area has abandoned reason for madness. Horus Heresy, super heavies, and the new Knight Titans. Are set to overrun the scene and turn it into pure nonsense.
This cannot stand.
I have mustered every model in my collection to quash this nonsense before it gets off the ground. There is a team tournament (1,500 points per player) this weekend at my LFGS. This is not a theoretical exercise.
Headquarters Haemonculus 50 Elites 3 Kabalite Trueborn with 2 Dark Lances 86 3 Kabalite Trueborn with 2 Dark Lances 86 3 Kabalite Trueborn with 3 Blasters in Venom with Dual Splinter Cannons 146 Troops 5 Wyches with Haywire Grenades in Venom with Dual Splinter Cannons 125 5 Wyches with Haywire Grenades in Venom with Dual Splinter Cannons 125 5 Wyches with Haywire Grenades in Venom with Dual Splinter Cannons 125 5 Kabalite Warriors with Blaster in Raider with Flicker Fields 130 5 Kabalite Warriors with Blaster in Raider with Flicker Fields 130 5 Kabalite Warriors with Blaster in Raider with Flicker Fields 130 Heavy Support Ravager 105 Ravager 105 Razorwing Jetfighter with Flicker Fields 155
I do not own more vehicles. Is this doable?

| Looks good although honestly id fit as many wyches as you have models. Seems contra to go shorter ranged but the SHs cant fire overwatch and will fold to hwg if you can saturate the area in it. If thats all the models you have then also consider putting a couple of those warrior units on foot with dark light instead and loading up the trueborn with blasters and hwg instead.. Sounds epic good luck! | |

| Heresy lists at less than 2k tend to be weaker than the 30k lists - the tax on starting units makes them crazy expensive.
The most you are likely to face is 4 knights in a single list which has no way of dealing with flyers and little flexibility on the table to support them.
Super heavy wise, a Titan - war hound or revenant - will ruin pretty much anything at 1500. Not much you can do about that either

It's a team tournament with 1,500 points a pop. Saying that they're going to bring eight was an exaggeration on my part but five plus an Imperial Guard army with multiple Vendettas with 4-5 Knight Titans. Part of our plan is to create the ultimate castle--in this case, a Fortress of Redemption with Void Shields et allia. This also protects us against more "conventional lists" such as a Thunderwolf Deathstar, most gunlines, and all assault armies. Multiple Space Marine flyers with Lascannons will help get around the Knight Titan's force field thingy. An unintended consequence of our super castle is that the Knight Titans will almost have to come at us to hurt the FoR--assault or Melta range. This allows us to really apply pressure on different sides.

| I only feel woe when this is what the game is turning in to. That being said. You definitely will be running into neckbeard lists in the tournament scene. So your list is definitely good at dealing with it at that point range. I hope your LFGS has plenty of terrain to offer your LanceBorn on foot! | |

| Definitely a doable list. Will work really well castled up, especially when they have to get close to hurt you and you can just skip around behind them while your allies hold down the fort.
Good luck. | |

| Victory was ours. The slaughter was great but our glass hammer and adamantium shield crushed the competition. | |

Like a boss How did the various units that you took in the list perform? Also-were there any actual 8 knight armies?

Also-were there any actual 8 knight armies? 5 in total. I think people realized that such unbalanced lists would not be entirely viable. Most entertaining moments included the evasion of a Baneblade's ramming attack (Felblade?) by multiple Venoms with Haywire Wyches...followed by the destruction of said Baneblade by Haywire Grenades. The Fortress of Redemption with attendant Void Shields and other kit is...formidable. It was able to safeguard our objectives and effectively counter a squadron of Basilisks. Venom's were critical for wiping out multiple groups of Genestealers that used some crazy dataslate to deploy super close (like 6 inches in ruins/fortifications) while a Knight et al advanced.

| Tyranids with allies? (not Allies, but still) I think you could've out-neckbearded them, there. Proud of your guys. I'm gonna show this to the lads I know considering buying Knights. It's pure over-compensation Out of interest, did anyone bother to figure out the £/point cost of your armies? I would think that'd give you several extra "not an idiot IRL" VPs aha. | |
