1750 Gottacon Dark Eldar

1750 Gottacon DE!

Hi guys! I am am bored and so feel like posting my Dark Eldar army list that I plan on taking to Gottacon in Victoria in Feb.

I played a foodhammer tournament in langley about a month and go and I suprized myself and walked away winning all 4 games and winning best gen and still maintainded a really good sportsmenship score 39/40 Note: the tourny was a mix of competitive players and fun players. Which I really enjoyed! I can't wait for next year!

Anyways I am going to be playing at Gottacon and I wanted to post an improved list from the one I played at Foodhammer. I will post the Foodhammer list after as well just cause! My new list has slightly improved anti-infintry and better AT (because my Heavy support is more survivable)

Haemy w/ nothing extra 50 pts. (should I drop the shattershard and take 2 liquifierguns for the haemys? the shattershard has been awesome so far and I have had lots success with it. Lguns tend to only fire once maybe twice a game anyways.)

Raider w/ DL, Flickerfield and Splinter racks. 80pts ( I know I know why no blaster and why splinter racks. Well I just decided to try this unit out and I have been loving it to death. I may not have the blaster, but the unit rapid-firing out of this thing tend to do lots of damage to infintry and the DL on the Raider still gives me some AT. Give this unit a try if you don't believe me. Just play smart with the unit) Then again you should be playing smart with the entire army anyways.

19 Killpoints. normally I would be concerned about having this many killpoints, but it hasn't really been much of a problem for me.

Total. 20 Lances. I consider my list as having 22 lances (because of the voidlances) as 22 lances make me feel more awesome.

You obviously did great at Foodhammer Colin and this list is quite similar, so I think you will do well with it. You have one less squad of Blasterborn and one less Venom, you might miss having that extra flexibility, but probably not.

If the 3-Wrack squad works for you, great. I personally don't like small troop squads for DE 'cos they just die so quickly, I am shying away completely from 5-man Warrior squads for the same reason.

I would suggest Dissies instead of DL's on the Raiders, for extra volume of fire. I find that given the lack of reliability of the DL's, the Dissies are more useful all round and just as good against light armour.

The other real question I have is Voidraven vs. Razorwing. I absolutely love the VR but given how fragile our flyers are, I hate spending any more points than I have to on them now. My RW wasn't very effective at Foodhammer, it either died or got glanced into the shadows, and I think I nailed one of yours as soon as it came on.

I don't think that the Void Lances offer enough over the regular DL's, the Void Mine is 'meh' at best, and paying twice as much for the Shatterfields as on a RW really ticks me off. As someone else said, it's still a flying, gas-soaked cardboard box.

I am always a huge, huge advocate of playing what you want just for fun, so by all means go with the VR's. But, 2 RW's with Shatterfields instead of the VR's would give you 40 points to bulk out a troop squad or two a bit more.

No, you shouldnt. If there will be paladins in the tourney you will love when you use shattershard on them. Best , just best weapon in the codex against them.

Alright so here is my revised Slightly DE list. Whatcha think.
I have tons of lances cause they work great when I use lots. When I take less I tend to have a much harder time. I have lots of AT and Anti infintry.

I will be testing this list against a nasty marine list tomorrow
he has 9 attack bikes, 3 autocannon, las sponson preds. 40 marines 2 rhino's i think. and termies with librarian. I think that's it. he may have a landspeeder or two
