| Hello,
I am just getting back into 40k. I'm looking at starting up my DE army soon. I'm really liking all of the whole mini range for the army, but I'm drawn to the wyches. I plan to start in 500 chunks, but looking ahead to the 1500pt range.
So here is my list:
HQ: Lelith
Troops: 2x Wyches(10) Shardnet/Razorflaiils in Raiders-Flickerfield/Nightshields Dark Lance 2x Wyches(10) Shardnets/Gauntlets in Raders-Flickerfield/Nightshields Disintegrator Cannons
Fast Attack: Reavers(3)-Heat Lance Reavers(3)-Blaster Hellions(5)
Elite: 2x Incubi(5) both on Venoms-Nightshields
Total=1561
Please let me know what you think and what needs to be changed. Again, I'm new and read through the codex only once.

| Your raiders are at full capacity, where will Lelith go?
You have next to no anti tank worth talking about. The disintegrator cannon should be a dark lance to be honest.
I would drop an entire squad of Incubi and the 1 Incubi from the second squad. Add Lelith to that squad of 4 and use the spare points to get some heavy support in the form of ravagers.
Also, your wyche squads are kind of geared for 2 jobs each. Using Shardnets and flails in the same squad is paying points for defensive and offensive tools. I think it is good to go one or the other, i.e 2 flails or 2 nets.

| Ythillan hit a lot of good points.
Kinda distancing from them somewhat - I don't think Lelith pairs well with Incubi simply because she doesn't really bring them anything they aren't already good at, and she doesn't help their lack of grenades situation.
The other odd expenditure is the 5 Hellions. I personally loathe Hellions as a unit, but even those who love them agree that they're only really good when they're being a deathstar unit for you. If you're just running 5 of them as harassment you can get 3 RJBs with a heat lance for less points, still have an efficient harassing unit for infantry, and have a potent threat to vehicles as well.
I'd personally like to see some of the points you're lobbing at FA and HQ go into Troops though. 5th edition is a very Troop centric game anyway, and our Troops are both fragile and otherwise very good - which makes them good to bring a decent number of them in order to inflict damage and score on objectives.
ebwop - the basic Wych Cult build in the competitive sense is something like this;
3-4 Haems w. Liquifiers 4-5 Wych squads in Raiders w. Aggie, HWG, and a Wych Weapon option 3 Trueborn squads in Venoms w. Blasters 3 Ravagers
But there's a lot of variation possible depending on what you want to do with the list.

| As an avid fan of Hellions I've got to agree with Thor, a unit of 5 is just plain useless. If your wanting to keep it pure then I'd veer away from incubi and trueborn. MSU wyches in raiders is probably the best way to go, and get a decent amount of AT in the list. However I can strongly advocate a large unit of Hellions led by the Baron as being totaally in keeping with the theme, as they do have wych suits. | |

| Where are the ravagers? To be able to squeeze the juice out of a wych list you want to be in cc with the fleshy insides of transports. To get squishy units out of their tin cans you will require anti tank and some of the best is in the form of Ravagers. | |

| I love me some Wyches!!!!
Personally i would swap Lelith for a regular Succubus with an Agoniser. She is cheaper and will do just as much damage (4s to wound instead of 5's makes a HUGE difference) and she gets combat drugs so they will only make her better unless you roll +1 STR but thats a 1 in 6 chance. I concur on the 5 hellions, unless you have the Baron and at least 14+ of them they are a bit naff so i would drop them and the Incubi and get some more Wyches and some Ravagers for the all important DL's. I also prefer HG's on my Wychs as on average they can equate to having a free Wych in the squad and if you get a re-roll wounds on the drugs table the flails gain no advantage but everyone has there own preferance.
