| So in an attempt to find a list that fits my playstyle and can be considered good against all comers I have come up with this. Drawing heavily on the bat reps here Im going to give it a try. Ive got about 2 weeks till the next local tournament so I hope to get in enough practice games.
Duke 3 trueborn w/ blasters, Raider w/ FF and dark lance X3 5 warriors 1 w/ blaster, sybarite w/ blast pistol, Venom w/ extra cannon X5 9 warriors 1 w/ blaster, sybarite w/ blast pistol, Raider w/ FF, dark lance, prow and aethersails. Razorwing fighter 2 disintegrator, splinter cannon, FF, 4 monoscythes X2 Ravager 3 dark lances, FF
The duke goes with the large warrior squad obviously, I had some left over points and threw em into the prow and aethersails, I usually run 4 blasterborn so Im not too sure about only running 3, I could trim points and beef em up to 4.

| Ok so Ive changed the list, based on a few games this last week.
Duke 3 trueborn w/ blasters and HWG in raiders w/ FF and DL x3 5 warriors 1 blaster, 1 sybarite w/ blast pistol in dakka venom x5 5 warriors 1 blaster 1 sybarite w/ blast pistol in raider w/ FF and DL ravager w/ 3 DL, night shields Razorwing 2 disintegrators, 4 monoscythe, TL splinter rifle, night shields x2
Ive still got 41 points to play with. the list generates 29 darklight shots but only 70-80 poisoned shots total. There are also 12 s5 ap2 shots and the 8 s6 ap5 pie plates.
It feels like im lacking in anti infantry, any opinions? | |

| with all those venoms you felt as if you lacked AI???
Maybe you could drop the sybarites (thats 25 points per model there, which adds up to 150 points which can be put into a FA slot, Or better yet drop them, and change one of the blasterborn squads to this
143- 4 TB w/ 2 Cannons, 2 Carbines; Venom w/ Extra Cannon
and put duke in there for some awesome 3+ poison power. You can use the points saved from the squad plus the points saved from dropping the sybarites to get some AT in FA slot (reavers, Scourges)
Also for me I would drop the Razorwings to Ravagers , and again add the points back into more FA (or another Blasterborn squad per unit.) If you want to keep the Razorwings, keep the DL for AT duty after you shot the missles.
Also why NS??? NS are only good against rapid fire shots and meltas, anything long range AT is going to outrange you at all times. Save the points or use them for Flickerfields. | |

| Thanks for the feedback Maybe it just feels like too little AI because I face off against so many space marines. Each venom usually nets me 2-4 wounds, and generates 1 maybe 2 dead on average. I think Id seriously giggle if I faced off against a blob of guard or orks out in the open with no cover save lol. I used to use ravagers exclusively, and for most lists they are better, however this list plays very fast and aggressively and I really need that alpha strike the razorwing brings (4 s6 ap5 pieplates) as well as its other weapons. I went with NS over the FF because of the armies in my meta, a 5+ isnt going to to save you against 10-16 rending s7 shots. I found that I was mostly able to position the thing in cover anyway, so the NS would really hurt the 24" range guns I face off against. I did very well with it last weekend, I tabled a draigowing in turn 4, got a massacre against that same player later in the evening and got a win against guard. Like I said tho, I have those few extra points and Im not really sure what to do with em... | |

| - Change your last Kabalite squad by dropping the Blaster (saves 15pts) to make better use of the Dukes ability - Consider changing their Raiders DL be changed to a Dissie (dedicated unit role that this is not 100% necessary - matter of choice and style really and how much faith you place in duality) - add to the 41pts you had spare makes 51pts:
+ buy 4 more Kabalite Warriors for that last squad (36) + Splinter Racks for that units Raider (10) + Torment Grenade Launchers in case you DS nearer to the enemy but end up causing a morale check from your poison weapons/possible Dissies onto their squad (the extra -1 might cause a fail).
Rather unorthodox I realise, but an interesting avenue that would certainly add some spice to a fairly standard otherwise list (sure the Duke brings some change but how much? DS instead of deploy?) | |
