Gallery coming soon.

The gallery will be going live soon too, do you think it should follow the same direction at The Aphotic Gallery with Categories for everything? Thoughts ASAP please.

I would follow the same format with categories for each.

With that would you like to see the end of The Aphotic Gallery, with the original posts and threads pushed into one of the other forums and users urged to post in the actual gallery? It is a shame that I cannot rename the gallery.

Depends on the format of the new gallery. If denizens are going to be able to maintain their own individual galleries in the new one, then we could keep the Aphotic in the forum as the showcase by category. But it would also be nice to have the showcase with the individual ones (my preference), in which case the same format should be used for that part.

We would no longer need the Aphotic, but perhaps keep it as-is for a little while until we see how it all shakes out. It would be nice if we could transfer over the content somehow too, a bit laborious but not too much and we would be able to have the great pics from people who aren't active any more in the new gallery.

I would probably merge it into the Project Logs sub-forum afterwards, if it is kept.
