| So I havent ever gotta deep into the lure of the Dark Eldar aside from the few pages in the Codex. With Slaanesh being the biggest threat to the DE, is they are Kabals, Coven, or even just realspace pirates that hunt demons? Ive been trying to think of fluff to build an army around and i think demon hunting dark eldar would make a pretty interesting story.
Ive been considering using Duke, and a couple Haemys for the list to make pirates that thrive the most from killing demons, or trapping them and using runes to torture them.
Any ideas of how i would construct a list, or if there is any dark eldars that do this?

| Interesting thought.
I cannot think of any specific instances of DE hunting daemons. They seem to focus on people with souls and pain so they can stave off Slaanesh.
That said, it is hardly a stretch to imagine that the DE would oppose Slaanesh's plans - especially if they were likely to impact them in a negative way.
I'd say it makes sense within the fluff.

| Daemons can still feel pain, as I have seen nothing suggesting they can't. Some of the arcane wargear is made from tortured daemons. They seem to be souls without bodies, temporary form after exiting warp not being a real body but formed warp-stuff.(more fantasy battle based guess, but haven't seen anything to contrary) So, I would guess a archon could try eating a daemon's soul, likely a very dangerous thing to do, to easy for their food to eat them instead and/or result in possession. | |

| Use beast, since Khymeres are Warp doggies. You may consider Mandrakes, as warptouched DE. Wracks seems OK as handymen for dirty work. Same with Grots and Engines. Hellions are OK too. Punks on skyboards that can "hook" IC's... seems like good hunters. Pick Baron. Any vehicle is OK, since demons are weaksauce vs vehicles Add chain snares, even if You would not use them in game. | |

| I was having an issue filling my 3rd elite slot at my 2500pt army, so mandrakes work. and beast masters have always seemed fun, ive just never used them. | |

| I would also add Haemonculus for them, just for Failfire | |

| Yeah, Im going to make them a Realspace Coven that hunts demons. The two people i play the most are Chaos space marines, and chaos dark angels
At 2500 im going to run a Duke, and 3 Haemy. With wrack grotes, brides or true born, couple venoms of warriors and a few of wyches. beast master reavers, voidraven, ravager, and maybe a talos
Only reason im making a dude is because ive been working on a conversion for like a week now. But i still cant find the right head.

| Dark Eldar will hunt anything. They love pain, they love misery, the love the sport. I could see an Archon zipping by on his venom, gunning down seekers of slaanesh like they were gazelle or something. | |

| sounds like a good idea to me too, if Slaanesh can consume the souls of dark eldar then why shouldn't the pain of daemons do the same in reverse? Plus like Thor says, seems like they'd get a certain amount of satisfaction from opposing Slaanesh's plans anyway (there's your justification if you ever wanted to field Dark Eldar alongside space marines against Chaos!) | |

| Im going to use Flesh Hounds of Korne for my Kymeras.
I think they look awesome.
Yeah. I just finished writing like a risk style campaign for me and my friends to play. And they both have Chaos inspired armies. One is Chaos Space Marines, one is a Chaos verison of the dark angel with some cool lore. So i wanted to be the like the opposite of them, and my Archon is going be wearing power armor as ghost armor, holding the head of a greater demon.
