Hmmm.

I wonder, if you are thinking about experimenting with the 'black and white" technique where you paint the figure with grey, black and white, then glaze it in color.

The paint on the incubi is very striking and the contrast is brilliant. I saw a tutorial Ana ( Chest of colors) did describing how she does and was thinking of giving it a go on a couple figures to see how I like it.

To me this screams of thinking or planning on going that way with a lot of heavy glazes. Maybe that was not your intent, but its the first thing that came to my mind.

All that aside, I love the contrast and the poses really come to life with the paint on them.

Seems a bit stupid to be re-inventing the wheel on every model, as it feels like I'm doing right now...



The Razorwing has gotten itself an initial burst of white spray, to show the detail, but it still looks a bit grainy in the transition between plastic and green stuff, so I'll have to go over it a bit more.

She is in Poland, but there is an english translation.

Even so it is a little difficult to read but there are a lot of pictures so you get the idea.

I haven't tried this technique, but I plan to give it a go on a couple of figures I have.

It looks fantastic. I really, really hope i get the chance to face you at Fanatic in a couple of weeks. Would be wonderfun to see the army on the other side of the playfield.

The more i look at this figures i just get upset how beautiful you have made it work out with those colours. But even if this isnt regarding dark eldar, have you shown these guys your "TAU" army? If not, you must. Thats one of the most incredible things i have ever seen being converted.

Did iever tell you how much i love your translucent colours. So exeptional...

Gorgeous! BTW, how do you do your diamond pattern, and how long would it take you to complete painting this particular model? It would be months for me.

I think it might have been around three to four hours up untill this point and hopefully I'll find motivation to paint it some more,
but I think it is done for now, since I'm quite stressed for an upcoming tournament next weekend.

And the stressing is finished!

I finished second in both the tournament and the painting competition.

Congrats on the good finish Speedfreak. I have to say, when you see it on the tabletop, that is by far the most impressive DE army overall. And deservedly so, with the amount of work you have put into it.

I still hope someone else has taken better pictures, because the ones I've taken with my phone can't really capture the details.

That army is, by far, the most attractive DE army I think I've ever seen. I wish I had half of your talent for painting and modeling.

The effect on the vehicle hulls is beautiful and wouldn't be all that hard to pull of with an airbrush and netting. Stunning stuff, but your conversions and paint really set your army apart!

IMHO this one /\ is more interesting but from what I see it isn't that hard.



As You can see there are 4 (actually You can manage it with 3) coloures triangles in each "diamond"

This is a WIP of my Haemonculi entry in the Archon's Challenge.

I'm new here so I haven't seen your work yet, those are some fantastic conversions brother! That haemonculi looks alot like one of the actors in Le Reve at the Wynn in Las Vegas (The most harliquinesque real life thing I've ever seen). I'm going to now spend the next half hour going through this thread from page one, thanks in advance for the inspiration.
