| I ran into a guy playing razorwolf spam at a tournament the other day and it was such a rough game it wasn't even fun anymore im not necessarily looking to win all these games but id like to find a way that at least puts me in the running against these kind of lists. he brought somthing along the lines of
4 laz plas razorback 3 squads of long fangs usualy 3 missiles and 2 laz cannons two grey hunter squads in rhinos one small squad in the razorback 1 wolf priest 1 rune priest 2 land speeders with twin heavy bolters
it was a rough game he basically sat in a corner and shot endlessly with all the lazcannons and living lightning i couldn't really even stay out of range. It didn't help that i rolled terribly and failed to even shake a tank all game. it ended with him slowly blowing my few remaining units off of objectives and i kept rolling badly so the game continued on if the game had ended on the 5th or 6th turns i could have got a objectives victory but i think i only managed a couple kill points it wasnt pretty. Any help or personal experience would really be appreciated.

| Sadly that list is very good at killing DE.
Here are some suggestions
Beating the space wolves army is all about getting first turn and target priority.
Run as your HQ either Baron or Vect one of those two will help you get first turn which is huge.
Make sure you have Venoms so once you get first turn you can pelt off key targets such as the longfang unit with your splintercannons.
Your blaster and dark lance units should focus fire on his razorbacks. Dont make the mistake of trying focus fire on a single razorback to destroy it. instead you should try to destroy/stun all his razorbacks because aslong as they arent shooting for a turn they arent a threat to DE.
Hope this helps. | |

| What were u running. With out some serious anti tank that is a tough list. Suppress as many razors as u can and engage the long fangs first. Sounds like some bad dice at play too, but de aren't gd at holding objectives under fire. Taking the fight to em might work. | |

| Yeah, I play Wolves too and they dont fear DE.
The Long Fangs are your priority as they can split fire. Reavers are good to get in their face to drop caltrops and potentially pull squad leaders out in combat. Pelt them with Razor wing missiles, necrotoxin has the chance to pin and wounds on 2+. Trueborn with double splinter cannon in a venom will also make them take saves.
Pay attention during deployment and try to isolate part of their army as best you can. If its kill points you may want to reserve stuff. It will be a rough-rough ride.
Wolves are possibly the games top dex right now as they are good in every area. It takes guile and luck to beat them. Vect is a huge point sink, based on a 50/50 chance of seizing. I'd probably go with the Duke and some Haemonculi to max the FNP count (if you have Wyches)
Once the Long Fangs are dealt with and your units are in position you can saturate them with too many targets by getting out of transports. It's risky, but can be effective late in the game.

| Boost Wyches w/ Raiders into his lines and shoot your Ravagers into his transports to stun/lock/open them up. Venoms should boost up as well so you can pressure his vehicles next turn.
If you have a lot of Venoms, you can open all Venoms onto the Long Fangs and take a lot of them down. Forcing enough wounds will do good justice. However, if you run with ~3 Venoms like I do, I would rather just boost them up and let the 4+ cover protect me.

| It's funny because I have never had an issue with razorwolf lists...
Full reserve if you go second is mandatory

| You are more Dakka but less Tougher then them, so use your first turn to kill Long Fangs and shake Razorbacks.
If you go second go reserve to do whats written above. Razorwing is very good in this MU, cause he can wipe Long Fangs with a single volley.

| I agree with that. I finally switched my dark lances for dissies and boy did they do a lot of damage and focuses the anti inc roll | |
