paxter, yes, he could have gotten more for the points worth, bot 1. implosion missiles make you roll on your wound characteristic, so you have a 1/6 chance to survive that with a model that has 1W. Two missiles? The problem is, i realised...how should i put it in propper english...
well, maybe i'll start at the beginning, for the list
Lelith: she is good, she can hurt terminators, but all in all, an archon with agoniser, shadowfield, drugs, pgl is cheeper and kills the same amount of MEQ.
Blasterborn...well i would lose them. We dont need that much darklight weapons in our army, since hullpoints came in to the game. 5 wyches with HWG - haywire grenade - usually kill a vehicle a turn. 10 wyches multi assault, that makes 2 - average.
for those points+ a little extra, a unite of 10 scourges with HWB - haywire blaster - are more effective, even if you DS them. 2.22 hull points a turn, regardless of AV, so a LR after a turn of shooting will get a sacrificial role the next enemy turn, for he knows, its going bye-bye.
i would lose the flickers on the raiders. you move basically nothing and get a 5+ from jink. Before that, hide the vehicles.
forget the retrofire jets as well. You are better of flat-outing from turn 1 than to arrive from reserve and dont be able to even disembark. If you fear for their safety: come in from reserve, flat out, and then 2d6" with aether sails.
forget night shields, for it only effects rapid feire weapons and melta TBH. Long range weapons that can hurt us are 48" - 36 for the heavy bolter
- other things are effective at max 12"...well except the multi melta, but not meny armies have that.
forget the grenade launcher on the heka. If your wyches get assaulted, that is a bad thing to begin with. You are an Archon, dictate the battle, not adapt to it.
3 reavers, 1 heatlance 1 caltrops. Decide what you want with them, or dont take them at all. The heat lance is good vs vehicles, but only at 9". Thats a shooting weapon. Caltrops are good to slice infantry up, as you turbo in the shooting phase.
Shooting and turboing cant be done the same turn. We are specialists, our armies should be equipped accordingly.
remove NS and FF from the ravager, you move 1", you get 5up save anyway. NS, as above.
i liked implo missiles, but i realised, if i take VRB for AA purposes, i dont want it to eat up a lot of points. And basically, besides the void mine, VRB aint good for more than AA.
For AI flyers, take the razorwing with disintegrators, but i still prefer to have AA first, so a 2vrb, 1 rwjf combo is advised from my part. NOTE: some older kabalites might notice i lost the missile upgrades from my flyers
Well i learn, but if i have 20 pts to spare, shatterfield alwayse is good
with the points spared up, i would:
a) get an archon
b) get incubi in a venom
c) get haem(s) for my wyches
d) (OPTIONAL) would use a farseer ally with gjb minimal support.
