| so, basically its a ravager that trades in its 3 weapons for a large haywire launcher that fires either a Str5 pie plate, or is Str7 beam and does D3 extra glancing hits in addition to it's basic haywire effect for either shot. So with the changes to glancing hits for 6th edition, it seems like it's actually a contender now. While not as reliable as a Triple dark lance ravager, it does have the added flexibility to finish off weakened squads since it still shoots a Str5 pie plate. does it replace a ravager, no. but it is nice alternative to that third ravager or token razorwing. hopefully I'll be able to see how it works in a game this next week. p.s it's rules can be found in "Imperial armor: apocalypse 2nd edition" if your never heard about it. at the moment I'm converting one out of an old raider, using a missile as the haywire launcher.

| Been wanting to order one after hearing about HPs. The Reaper is definatly usefull in 6th as opposed to 5th. I might actually get my order in next month. | |

| Once I get enough cash to be able to afford a Forgeworld shipping, I will definitely be ordering three of these beauties and also some of the Tantalus. Problem is........it is so hard to spend soo much money in one go when one needs the money to take care of oneself. | |

No, it actually has the large blast. The other firing mode is what really sell it tho. A s7 hit + D3 haywire shots has a good chanse of wrecking most medium vehicles with a single hit. The main problem is that it only has oen gun and only does one shot, while the Ravager have a gun destroyed and still function, and will on average hti with at least 2 lances. Lances have a slightly better chans eof destroying the target outrigth, too (ap2 so they get +1 to damage table), but the Reaper is more likely to do some damage (both penetrate on 5+ but the Reaper removes a hull point on any roll but 1).

| Imagine you throw a 5 or 6 for the D3. So you throw 3 D6 and all three are above 1. You strip most vehicles of all HPs in one go. Awesome. On average though you'll take 2 HPs per shot. | |

| Yes, but if you do hit, you also have a chanse of the s7 main hit pentrating (the haywire effect happens regardless of whether you penetrate, but is not exclusive to it). | |

| actually, pg 37 Main rule book.
"when a weapon with this special rule hits a vehicle, roll a D6 to determine the effect rather than rolling armor penetration normally."

| well, you could always convert one too. a spare missile from a razorwing would be a good start for the gun. here's one I've converted from an old raider. | |
