6ed Dark eldar wargear appreciation thread

I have been picking up on quite a lot of doom and gloom around here (Although Thor as always is extreamly entertaining!).
So lets get positive!

What pices of wargear or what special rules have been effective for YOU in 6ed, or 5ed (lol, stuck in fantasy i am)if you havn't got around to reading the big book yet. What amazing feats have you done with your humble blast pistol? Which big angry gray knight hero have you shattersharded? How many termies died to that single wych w/ razorflail...3, well thats impossible?!?

Share you feats of impossiblity, share why you like your units and upgrades, share what makes the dark kin so smashing sexy!

Wargear: Shattershard
Whats it good at? Trolling high armour saves multiwound angry people.
My Feat: Poor haemon all on his own, wyches butchered by tyrands, easy pickings for a warlord point? The mighty Swarmlord charged thinking this, charging into 3 toughness tests from wall of death and shattering before he reached me!

Hang on, you do know that we only have 6th edition, don't you?

So far my best was a dreadknight failing 10(!) saves out of 18 wounds even it had a 2up armor. I just had to sit down and have a smoke, for i positioned all my army to take that out, but was able to get in to cover before i got decimated by ap5 fire

wargear? venom blade combined with husk blade and soul trap, killed 2 wraithlords with vb and sheer number of attacks, then i went on str10ing the opponent with ap3 ID. I couldnt kill Ashurmen though, for all Phoenix Lords are EW meow.

Venomblades, rever jetbikes, and warriors with a shredder.
In my local meta, everything has begun to demachanize their troops, and the humble shredder have proven time and again for me that it is a good weapon to destroy everything on foot.

Six Cluster Caltrop Reavers and a Fortune/Doom Farseer with them have been quite effective at giving my opponent lots of headache in my last few games.

splinter racls and nightshields have stepped up for me. Full gunboats floating about with rapid fire 16 shots with rerolls to hit plus blaster plus splinter cannon is gold. Great on overwatch as well. Evenmy wyches are enjoying the reroll on their pistols. Nightshields are great now with the new night fight rules and premeasuring.

Haemie w/ Vexator Mask coupled with his near by Raider w/ TGL. Don't forget to keep shuffling the raider close to the assault as to remain within 6"

Nightshields, haywire grenades and venom blades!!!!!!

Venomblade, Huskblade, Soultrap, Shadowfield, Haywire Grenades.

Harlequin troup master is extremely funny with Power Maul, S6 AP4 on the charge...thats a lot of giggles.

Played my first ever game as DE this past weekend; I usually play Chaos Space Marines or Chaos Daemons, but got a screaming deal on a DE army and couldn't resist. Played against my usual buddy who runs Orks with the Mad Doc that gives them cyborking (5+ invul, even on his grots). He lost a complete unit of Burnas and a 10-Boy unit escorting (and including) his Wierdboy to Raiders with 10 warriors (8x splinter rifle, 1x cannon, 1x blaster) and splinter racks. I have NEVER been able to decimate his units like that with the Chaos Marines, and the only unit that ever dealt shooting pain like that was Pink Horrors (30 S4 AP4 shots for a 10-Daemon squad). And it was TONS of fun to simply fly to the other side of the board and avoid his Boyz Mob, which can deal an amazing amount of pain to just about anything. Hard to hit what you can't see, though...

After all I'd heard about paper airplanes, though, I ended the game with three of five Raiders and one Ravager intact, and another Ravager immobilized but still blowing stuff up. Jink saves are fantastic, and even the 5+ for just moving was great.

I have some serious plans for this army, so I'm sure I'll start having even more fun shortly.

Im surprised this hasn't been mentioned by everyone... but the new hull point rule means that a single wych squad with haywires can take down an entire IG mech list in a few turns, I mean hitting on 3s, each hit is a hull point gone... so good! You think about it 4 wyches could charge a landraider and destroy it, easily, thats 60 points taking down 240. (and this has been done numerous times!)

How do you field you warriors with the shredder? In a raider, venom , portal or by foot? Do you use them on scourges or trueborn?

The Agonizer is really useful, at doing nothing for excruciating periods of time.

My Wyches once assaulted some tactical marines and in the first round it went really well and only 2 guys were left, the 2 then survived everything for the next 3 rounds of combat.
She would miss everything or it but no wound, it was ridiculous, it came down to just the missile launcher marine and he just would not die.

Reavers are amazing though, heat lance into the rear of some armour is fun, not to mention bladvaning half a dozen people on the way there.

Don't forget the initial throw when within 8" so yes 5 Wyches can take down an LR in one turn.

Has anyone tried 6 units of 5 HWG Wyches boosting when playing Mech Guard?

Last night my Talos w/LG and chain-flails was my all-star! He marched up flanked by a beastmaster squad. Tore threw termies, then ate a landraider, then ate scouts, another unit of marines, and on turn 7 ate Cantor (sp?) It was the first time I had used one since I forgot my normal staple of my bomber at home so I decided WTH? try out new HS option. Fell in love with this guy not unjustly!
