| Welcome to the Dark Anecdotes thread, for those with those with no desire or time to share full battle reports but want to share brief accomplishments and victories from recent games.
10 Wyches assault a semi-wounded Warboss and Nobz unit. They manage to take three down, leaving four and the Warboss left. They then suffer no casualties in return. Next turn they wipe the remaining Nobz, again no casualties and sweeping advance the Warboss. They subsequently assault 20 Boyz and tear them apart too.
What has happened in your games that have been unexpected or memorable? _________________ Sky Serpent - Drukhari 40k My Facebook blog, follow for battle reports, tactics, painting and conversions

| I had a single squad of Kabalite Warriors take out a full Tactical Squad and 5 Devastators in close combat. Good times. They didn't start with a pain token and they didn't have a Sybarite either. _________________ Forum Rules, please read. Dark City Mod Squad ahahahahha. I'm the nicest moderator. Don't think so? | I haven't played with my Dark Eldar yet, but listen to this: I had a unit of ten Dire Avengers shot apart by Imperial Guard, except for the Exarch. Then he had four mortars, two lascannons, a battlecannon and about 50 lasguns fired on him... But did not die. _________________ Kabal of the Shadow Phoenix - Background Kabal of the Shadow Phoenix - Painting BlogModelled: 2753 pts Painted: 2263pts - shamroll wrote:

| I the old days(well with the last dex) i had a game against grey knights, where a group of 10 warriors, armed with a splintercannon, a blaster and a sybarith with agoniser managed to take down 3 GK Combat Squads of 5 and 4 GK Termis (the last one killed the rest of that bunch) Still lost to a massacre as i could not managed to kill the immobilized Cybot and the 1 Justicar left XD _________________ ...What about a Bastion made out of Guardsmen as some form of sick sarcasm?...Or a Fortress of Redemption made out of Dark Angels - Sky Serpent

| Two from me, last game I played I had my Archon and Incubi in combat with 5 TH/SS Termies and Vulkan (don't ask why). The Incubi of course got slaughtered but the Archon not only survived but killed every single Terminator and Vulkan himself. (hooray for Shadowfields!).
Another game I took an Haemonculus with Hexrifle, towards the end of the game he lined up a perfect shot at Castellan Croe, shoots, hits and wounds, Croe fails his test and goes boom! After a pretty rough time in the game that was my crowning glory.

| I remember I used 9 warriors with Agoniser Sybarite as the escort for my Archon for a while. In one game they killed a brotherhoos champion, Castellan Crow, 5 Grey Knight Terminators and repelled a Strike Squad. In the following game the killed 10 Chaos Marines, 8 Raptors and a Chaos Lord. In both of those games the Archon just stood by and enjoyed the carnage (ie: continually fluffed all of his attacks). _________________ Knowledge is power, guard it well.

| I came to greatly love Grotesques when I trolled my normal opponent by throwing off my normal army composition. He expected me to be running all vehicle-based units, about 9 or so on the board. I wrote my list with the golden rule of "no vehicles". I was pleased with the fact that the Grotesques never suffered a single wound. The only weapon he had capable of wounding them reliably was dead by the end of turn 1 or was busy shooting at the rest of my FNP'd units ontop of objectives.
My love of Reavers blossomed in the gambit move at a tournament. My teammate was infantry based guard, and we found out (painfully every match) it was a paper tiger. So his mass of bodies got pushed off our one objective by an avatar and demon prince (as well as a gaggle of dire avengers, marines and demons). I took the objective with my wyches (I rued the lack of warriors and their 4+ poison when the enemy had those two big guys on the board) and had it solidly secured. Draw imminent with our wipeout coming since I was the only one left with any real army. We had the end of turn five, I turbo-boosted my Reavers and six-inch assault phase moved them to contest the objective surrounded by some forty enemy troops who had previously not been near any of our models by several feet. Rolled for the game to end, and bam. Contested objective on their end, held on our. (That game I also took two squads of marine rapid fire and a doom-fortune or other'd avenger round of shooting and lost -one- jetbike. I <3 FNP)
In a match where I got to watch some spectacularly poor managing of units, I used a Bloodbride-Syren squad to systematically kill ten grey hunters, ten wolfguard and a dreadnought over a span of three turns. Granted he was in do-or-die mode and I only had to assault him cause my rolling was -abysmal-. First round with three ravagers and four raiders shooting. Absolutely no damage done beyond an immobilized dreadnought.
In the same team tournament, I enjoyed a round of enemy shooting where I got nailed with three or four lascannons, two direct plasma cannon shots and some multilaser hits. They either failed to glance/penetrate the armor, or caused Shaken results. I discovered just how solid paper-thin armor really is. And how useless Flickershields are >_>

| so i want to start a little thred where people can post things that their dark eldar units do, that they normally would never do and made it through it to continue fighting!
yesterday i had a 9 man wrack unit lead by a hemi blow through a 10 man strike squad then proceded to take out a brotherhood champion, then held the home objective for the rest of the game. diden't expect that to happen but i was pleasently suprised!

| A singel Wych(hekatrix) whiped out 3 groups of Chaos Space Marines. All 3 groups with 5 men.
Also, 2 Wyches killed a Khorn Bazerkher HQ thingy, then went on to destroy a Rhina with some CSM in it, and then to hold the objective. Both those where in the same match.
In another match a singel Warrior saved 11 wounds in CC. lucky rolling. _________________ Plays Dark Eldar, Eldar and Harlequins. If you are from norway, check out www.drittunger.no

| last game I played a scourge unit was charged by assault marines, and won combat. Marines failed 2 saves, I made all mine. Scourge unit died next round, but marines were under 1/2 starting strength by then, and near by full wych squad with pain tokens finished them off.

| The first game i played against Greynights, one of my ravagers had a duel with a twin-canon-dreadnought... for all of the six turns. Someone had spoiled my lances that game, since my blaster-archon didn't hit once. _________________ Hydra's Archive

| My Archon wiped out a unit of 50 Guardsmen with a Comissar (won combat, they failed their stubborn ld 10 test, rerolled, failed again, and got run down)...Then spent the next 3 turns trying to kill 4 Veterans (kept rollign 1s and 2s to wound. We figured he must've run out of batteries for his Agonizer after the previous combat). _________________ Tougher than wet kittens, with armour stonger than the dampest cardboard, we are coming for you! | I played 1500 pts against Daemons last night. The first four turns consisted of him systematically exploding every one of my vehicles and everything around them, while I managed to wound his various units often and hard, but he rolled multiple saves every single time.
The top of turn #5 saw me with two lone Warriors on an objective, who quickly died in a hail of Horror fire, and a Succubus with three Wyches on another. They were then assaulted by a Daemon Prince who killed all of the Wyches.
So, in the bottom of #5 his dice luck changes, and my Succubus (with two Venom Blades) kills this first Daemon Prince. The top of turn #6 saw my opponent just consolidate around a couple of objectives since he could not shoot or assault my lone survivor. Then in the bottom of #6, my Succubus charges over a hill (yelling "Waaagh! to cause a diversion) and assaults and kills a Lord of Change, and then consolidates and assaults and kills Daemon Prince #2. She finally died in the top #7 in another hail of Horror fire from his lone remaining squad, but she only failed three of her eight saves, so she almost survived that too!
Three Monstrous Creatures in 1-1/2 turns, not bad. _________________ Mod Squad Forum rules, please read ................. or else we release the Khymerae! The Serpents' Breath - the Dark Eldar corsair scourge Hive Fleet Void Riven & WIP thread

| In the early days of the original DE codex, I was up against an Eldar player who was fielding a lot of Reapers, a couple of Falcons and Warp Spiders as the lynch pins of his army. For the first couple of turns I was getting my butt handed to me by the Reapers who were hiding in cover. At that point, my 7 Scourges entered play and in one volley, killed all the Reapers. My 5 Warp Beasts and Beastmaster then ran riot though his army, accounting for a full quarter of his army over the next 4 turns, including the Warp Spiders and one of the Falcons. | |

| I've been having a lot of fun playing Duke in character recently.
Game against Imperial Guard the other day, a Vendetta swoops down behind my lines and starts blasting away at Sliscus's Venom, the transport jinking out of the way of the Lascannon fire. Calm as a Sslyth, the Duke gets out of the Venom, raises his Blast Pistol and shoots the Vendetta out of the sky. Bang.

| I've had a similar moment to Sky with the Duke.
In a recent game against Chaos Marines all had been going relatively well, until the Daemon Prince arrives and promptly begins swallowing Raiders whole. Seeing the chance for a rather impressive trophy, and an interesting enough hunt to relieve the boredom for a while longer, Duke Soldaan orders his Raider pilot to head for the serpentine daemon, full speed! (To add to the thrill, it was a prince dedicated to She Who Thirsts)...
Within moments the winged daemon had the raider in her claws mid flight and torn it in two. Now in free-fall, the duke calmly levels his Blast Pistol and fires a burst of dark matter down the beasts throat. | Last night I played a game against a Draigowing.
Crucible of Malediction with Torment Grenade launchers saw off both Draigo and a librarian on turn 2, and two units of Bloodbrides proceeded to eath throgh the ten man/5man combat squad paladin unit in two assault phases losing only five Bloodbrides.
90 points of Bloodbrides lost to 600 Grey Knights. A lot of luck involved but I'm still rather pleased.

| Battle against Space Wolves... Logan Grimnar and his Termie Wolf Guard fellas got out of their LR and only managed to Stun my Archon's (+ Incubi) Raider (who just came from killing Stormcaller and his power armour Wolf Guard retinue who drop podded in my zone... BTW i stole Njal soul in my Trap which gave S6 to my Archon).
THEN, the Space Wolf dude said that I couldn't get out from my Stunned Transport. We didn't have the rules and I was pretty sure that he was wrong but we're friends so I said OK. Then my s6 Archon and his 8 Incubi stayed up in the boat while 15+ dark weapons (plus a couple of splinter rifles from my warriors in a nearby bunker) COMPLETELY wiped out his unit of Logan+5 Termies.
... my Archon and his retinue looked down his ride, saw all that bodies, then looked at themselves and said... LOL _________________ Archon ÐЖѦXΛI: Let's go outside... and wipe out an entire civilization in a feast of murder and pain.

| I haven't played that many battles with my dark eldar yet but there was this one game (500pts) against my friend who plays tau where we get capture and control with DoW deployment.
Well I get first turn where I move up 12 inch with my raider (packed with wyches+succubus) they disembark, make a run move (where I roll a 6), then I charge those last inches into his kroots who I slaughter. I then get my d6 inch move straight forward and stops one inch from his fire warriors. Then we both agreed that with or without his rapid fire I would have made it and then slaughtered his last troop choice which means that he couldn't take any objectives. I won and we played a new game, which didn't take 5 minutes....
Not that remarkable but but.. _________________ Check out my latest battle report: http://www.thedarkcity.net/t8068-br-1-the-venomous-shadow-1000p-de-vs-tau "we all play toy soldiers as a hobby. what on earth makes you think we can manage adult discussions?"

| I charged a group of 7 firewarriors in cover with 5 incubi. They hit first (cover) and caused 4 wounds. I promptly rolled three 1's and a 2. 4 incubi dead, from CC with firewarriors The last incubi proceeded to kill the unit of firewarriors plus 7 more he ran down and then charged the battlesuit commander and his bodyguard. He killed the bodyguard, the commander fell back for a single round (didn't leave the table dammit) In his one round in the open the incubi was cut down by a Tau railgun. My opponent wanted to make sure he was dead!!! _________________ There's a special providence in the fall of a sparrow.
