Hey, a footslogging Coven list. It's been a while since I saw one. I really like the idea, I just can't make it work for myself. Here are some thoughts for you:
-You seem to be afraid of multiwound models and MCs-don't be. Hexrifles, Ichor Injector... Both are highly situational and not very useful in my experience. With all your poison and your own MCs you should be able to deal with them.
-Drop Archangel of Pain. Coverage is unreliable, the enemy must whiff a roll and the benefits are marginal. I would go to the next page on the codex and look at the marvel called the Shattershard. If you don't like that, at least get a Liquifier. Or both. Your call.
-Same with the Grots and Wracks, a Liquifier on each squad may bolster your list significantly.
-Your Grots may become too unwieldy and hard to hide. Spending 440 pts on a single unit in a 1000 pts list may not be optimal. Also remember that Grots are as expensive in real life as in the game. I would recommend a smaller unit of Grots.
-I would get chainflails for both Talos or Tali or whatever the plural is. I'd say it's almost mandatory. TLHB is also very good, but I'd take the flails first.
-The Cronos is a source for concern-it has low WS and and low # of attacks so you'll have a lot of trouble hitting guys in CC, rendering the spirit probe less effective than it sounds. I've never tried it, but I don't trust it. If you really want to get an upgrade, a spirit vortex may be better for some extra range and large blast template.
In general, I feel this type of themed list needs WWPs for maximum effectiveness, but fitting two of those into 1000 pts is very difficult. About your strategy, I'd say the Grots should be out front rather than the engines, since they start with FnP and FC, and are more expendable. Pretty much your entire AT depends on your two Talos, at least as far as heavy vehicles are concerned, so you don't want them to die in the opening volley.
