2000 pts against Crons

My Necron friend keeps pushing for a 2k game so I thought I would try to get a list together without using to many proxies but still being strong.

The last 2k game we had where I brought 45 paper Reavers for the fun of it wen't poorly but at least gave me an idea of what I will see.

His list roughly consisted of

Overlord with Warscythe and 2+/3++ on a Command Barge quite possibly with a Labyrinth.
Illuminor Szeras with 5 Destrotecs

20 Warriors with a Lord in a Ghostarc
10 Warriors in a Ghostarc
10 Warriors in a NightScythe

2 DoomScythes
and a Monolith

He has also been known to field Deathmarks, Scarab swarms with Spiders and I know he is working on an ADL assumably with Comms relay.


My list so far is as follows.

Archon with Drugs, Djinn Blade, PGL, Shadowfield Soul-trap and Venom Blade
Haemmy with LG

5 Incubi with DemiKlaive Klavex in a Raider with NS, GT and Dissie
10 Mandrakes

2x
10 Warriors with SC and Blaster in Raider with NS and Dissie
2x
5 Wyches with HWG, Hekatrix(PGL and Power Lance) in Venom with SC.

5 Scourges with HW Blasters.

2x
Ravagers with NS and DL's

Razorwing with Flickerflield, Dissies and Monoscythe's

2x
Aegis Defence Line with Quad-gun

That comes 15 pts short of 2k
I was considering a Hex-rifle for the Haemmy to give him some ranged with the Mandrakes. What other things would you all all with those 15pts.

The Warriors will probably sit on the ADL's but I have been considering putting one forward more for the Mandrakes to get a 3+ cover from while the Haemmy boosts up to give them a PT first turn and man the Quad-gun.

What are your thoughts for this list specifically relating to facing Necrons.

First of all, I don't have my Codex near by, so I can't calculate if my point judgement is correct.

I think the first thing I would do would be take the Djinn blade from the Archon (Because of personal preference) and with the left over points buy Splinter Racks for the Warrior Raiders.
I'd also give the Incubus a Venom with an extra Splinter Cannon, just for some lovely shooty goodness.

Other than that I can't reccomend anything else, but it looks like a good list for fighting Necrons to me.

I have taken the Djin Blade mainly as a sub power weapon since its only 5 more points it will at least help against the lesser lords. I am not sold on the Djin Blade though. It was more a replacement for the Power Axe he would have carried had the Overlords not brought a 3++ and Labyrinth.

I did originally have Splinter Racks on the Raiders but dropped them since the chances are at least one if not both will be behind ADL's from the start.

As for the Incubi Venom they are running with the Archon and Haemmy so won't be able to take one.
