so.. when did the Keeper of secrets become a hot chick with tentacle hair?

So, when did the keeper of secrets become a hot chick?

I kind of miss the big manly 4 armed bull that it used to be. the current pewter model is nice, but I've been seeing a lot KoS conversions more or less just agiant deamonettes with extra arms.

Right now I'm contemplating making one out of a Beastmen Ghorgon model at the moment.

Hot chick??? That model just oozes androgyny... For me it would be a model I would truly set up. Sad however they messed up the deamonettes.

Well in French they say 'des gouts et des couleurs', meaning you can't discuss taste, but for me Slaanesh is the god of excess, meaning it has to ooze some kind of 'want', the kind of attraction you know to be your death, like the 'vagina dentata' (vagina with teeth) out of legend, or the kiss of the black widow, which eats her partner after sex. This minotaur model just fails to capture that for me, too much Khorne-like, which is a totaly different energy.

If I would choose another army to collect (which I won't), I would take Slaanesh traitor guard with (old) daemonette and keeper of secrets allies, and they would be some kind of cult of depravity. So for me, the present Keeper is excellent.

I guess what I dig about the old style is the whole Baphomet thing it's got going on.

@Chaeril: you said want, and what more do you want then what you cant have? The point is that they are Daemons. We are not living in a universe where their magical powers actually work. That is how ugly the daemon actually is, but in the 40k univers they twist the minds of those who look upon them. They really are ugly, but percieved as beautiful to aid their evil deeds.

A couple notes:

1.
There is not just one Keeper of Secrets. There are manyand the forge world one you are referring too is specifically Zarakneyl. It has a unique stat line from the regular Keeper of Secrets that's in the FW Imperial Armor Apoc 2nd Edition book.

That being said, you can still ahem your old keeper of secrets without breaking any fluff laws

2. The FW model was released about 4 years ago. So yeah that's when it changed.
