2000 pts Dual Force Org

So what would you bring if you where to build a 2000 pts Dual Force Org list? For me, the first thing I would change would be to exchange my Blasterborn for more Ravagers, saving some points along the way.....but I don't think much else would change

Take a Haem + 3-man Wrack unit to fulfill the minimum requirement and then add 3more ravagers

I take my standard list since it already includes enough troops and HQ's then simply use the second to get another Quad-gun. Although this is purely because I only face a Necron flyer list at the moment.

So wait, let me get this straight. At 2000 pts the Force Organization chart is esentially
HQ 2-4, Elite 0-6, Troop 4-12 , Fast Attack - 0 - 6, Heavy Support 0 - 6?

Then on top of that you can add in allies?!?

Don't forget 0-2 Fortifications

So for me I'm looking at:

2x Haemie, Liq
4x 5 HWG Wyches in Raiders, NS
1x 10 Warriors, SC in Raider, SR, NS
1x 3 Wracks in Venom, Dual Cannons
2x 6 Reavers, Caltrops, HL
5x Ravagers, DL's
1x Voidraven, FF

Maybe swap 1 Ravager to Dissies....for a little flavour

at 2k+ you can have this.

Primary:
1-4 HQs
0-6 Elite
2-12 Troops (to unlock dual force org you must have 2 HQs and 4 Troops)
0-6 Fast Attack
0-6 Heavy Support

Allies:
0-2 HQs
0-4 Troops
0-2 Fast Attack
0-2 Heavy Support

(To unlock allies, you must have atleast 1 HQ and 1 Troop per Primary FOC)

0-2 Fortifications (you get 1 per primary FOC)

basically... thats alota units...

Thats incorrect Shadows you need to take the second force org almost as seperate so its;

2-4 HQ
0-6 Elite
4-12 Troops
0-6 Fast Attack
0-6 Heavy
0-2 Fortifications

And the Allies at;
1-2 HQ
2-4 Troops
0-2 Fast Attack
0-2 Heavy

At least that was my understanding. Don't have my rule book with me to double check at the moment so feel free to correct me especially on Allies.

DE don't need fortifications, fortifications are for pussies, not for us :ppp ( let's just wait for the new FAQ to find out what we'll really have to deal with flyers )

Venom w dual cannon
Razorwing w dizzies and ff
Razorwing w dizzies and ff
2 unites of 3 wracks - one is acothist w hexrifle, joined by an extra haem w hexrifle - in a venom w dual cannons

2010 pts
6 HQ, 2 Elites, 7 troops, 6 Venoms, 2 REQ, 2 flyers, tons of shooting, tons of targets, heavy and support cc, AT, AI,

well...counting dual forc or...my optimall would be 11k+

On topic, any list for 2000 points should have at least four troop units anyway, and many have also a second HQ. Therefore it's very easy to just add additional flyers/Ravagers, depending on what the list is missing. I'd probably go with two lance Ravagers, one Disintegrator Ravager, two Razorwings and a Voidraven. If I needed the points, it'd be four lance and two Disintegrator boats.

That means a third of your army approximatively would be composed of only Heavy Support, that seems pretty much unbalanced overall for a 2k points army to me.

Nah, don't worry, I should have figured you were trying toedit it, sorry.

And about the army list, yes, you're right... Uhm, then only the boats like in my last example. It could work nicely, I think, if the remaining part consisted of enough troops and fast attack.

lol we are both right. You have to remember that you DONT have to take the second force org. Hence why I still have the 1 HQ and 2 Troop min.

and do you have 2 set of HQs and 4 troops to make them dual for-org?

I still have to tweak the list up a little I 'll probably drop some of my allies for more dark eldar goodinies but as of right now its only a paper list since I don't play above 1500pts often.
