| Hi everyone, as I had to finish my M.Sc. I had little to no time for painting. So sadly I could´t finish my Reaver Jetbikes (but now they are on their way ). I only managed to finish a birthday present for a friend. He asked me to paint up his Lugft Huron. Normally I don´t like painting metallics, but this model was fun to paint. Hope you like it. Feedback is appreciated. Michael | |

| Excellent work Michael, really! Very clean and neat, with natural looking highlighting. The face looks great.
The critiques I can offer are that a) the highlighting on the back of the standard is hard to see, it maybe a little too light or it may just be the photo, and b) I would consider adding a burnt effect to the end of the flamed with some copper and blackening.
Cheers. | |

| Hi Gobsmakked, your completely right. The Highlights on the back could be a bit better. On the original model, they look a little better, but now that you mentioned it, I would paint them a little more intense. Perhaps on the next model. Do you have any pictures on the burnt effect? Would love to see more. I want to buy some pigments in the future. They should be great for such oily or burnt effects. Perhaps I´ll try it out on my Raiders and Venoms. Thanks a lot for your feedback. Michael | |

| Great looking Huron! I'd agree with Gobsmakked, some weathering on the end of the flamer would be good. I usually do it with a very simple drybrush of Tin Bitz. You'll be surprised how big of a difference it makes! Perhaps his Crux Terminatus could also stand out a bit more (though it might just be the lighting in the picture).
All in all though, it's a fantastic looking model!

| Pigments would be great. Like Siticus, I also usually use Tin Bitz - dry brush some on the end half or two-thirds of the barrel, darken it by adding some black towards the muzzle and lighten it a titch by adding some copper or orange towards the middle. Here's an example of a heat-stained barrel from FW: Another method is described on From the Warp: http://fromthewarp.blogspot.ca/2011/09/how-to-paint-heat-stained-gun-barrels.html Cheers. | |

Cheers. Thanks for the pic and the link. This should help a lot. I'm trying to finish my Reavers this week. Pics will follow. Michael
