New to Dark eldars - 1000 points, what to buy?

I'm going to start to play 40 k and after checked the lore and the models + Looked at when another player played them, I decided to start up a Dark eldar army,since I just loved how they looked and the gameplay looked fun, but now to my question, what to buy?

I am thinking about a battleforce, big suprise I know, but what else, What I am looking for is a mobile force, simple as that. And the main opponents I will meet is SM, IG, Orcs and another DE. Could be useful infomation.

So yeah if someone could give me some advice about what to get I would be very thankful.

I would submit that the best way to go about that is to first buy/borrow the Codex and come up with a list - after that buying becomes a lot easier.

Obvious purchases though tend to be;

Battleforce
Ravagers
Haemonculi
Additional couple of Raiders/Venoms
Additional box (or 2) of Warriors.

That will allow you to field a number of fairly competitive builds. Kitbash an Archon for cheap. Sneak extra Wyches out of the Venom sets if wanted. And supply you with base building blocks that show up in almost all lists.

But I would puzzle out a list first, and then plan your purchases based on that.

Also maybe some reavers sense you get three in the battle force, I would recommend two boxes to have a optimal squad of nine. But then again I am a big reaver fan.

I'm a big fan of the battleforces in general (I bought six for the Blood Angels), and the DEldar in particular, I see no reason not to buy another 6 for them.

I'm a way away from listing out to 1800pts though.
I just wish it came with a couple of venoms

My plans are currently to get a battleforce, have only got kabalite warriors, venom and archon atm.
I also thought that maybe a raider (that would be two with the one from battleforce), and scourges.
Oh and Drazhar!!

I would recommend holding off on the scourges and seeing what you think of the reavers (and this is from somebody that likes to field a 9man reaver and either a 10man scourge or 2 5man scourge units).

The reason I say this is that they cost the same points and fill similar roles in most configurations, but do so in pretty different ways, and if you play with reavers a bit you will have a better understanding of what you like/dislike about them, and if scourges fit, if you need them, or if you'd prefer a 2nd reaver unit.
