it is in fact terra clips! good eye. we just got it and wanted to have one huge piece of terrain, never really played a game like that before! Anyway here is the freaking report finally. so much work!
1st DE
I knew obviously that the demon princes needed to be taken out fast. Oh yeah! I play DE, poison, poison, poison! So thinking this I move my venoms up so I can see some DP's, risking getting heavily attacked, i thought its probably worth it to take out some DP's. One rav has a shot at a demon prince as well so i take it. Rest of ravs shoot at Bastion. After all the dust settles I manage to make....0 wounds. I get one glance with a rav on the bastion (bastion got 4+ cover too).... thanks to rerolls of 1's on armor saves (from tzentch mark)and being behind a 4+ cover, I get shafted. I have no idea how I didnt manage to take out at least 1 DP...
1st CHAOS
Chaos gods are grinning, not only did I fail to do anything, venoms are now in swoop range. Maybe he will biff i like i did right? nope, nope. he kills ALL OF MY VENOMS.
. Also he wipes out my walking trueborn squad with flames of chaos. Not all bad though, he failed a lot of his psychic tests and also got a wound on 2 demon princes, though he was able to cast endurance, on his warlord prince... which gives FNP, EW, and it will not die(5+ gets a wound back at end of turn). At end of turn he rolls back a wound. BALLS. Oh I lost 1 hellion from the battlecannon on the defiler (3+ cover save thanks to baron).
Now you might ask, how the hell can you turn it around after this? It took all of my cunning, and a bit of luck. Also maybe technically I didn't.
2nd DE:
One good part about the venoms getting wiped was the warriors that lived were in a prime spot for defending the objective, and with 3 squads it would be hard to shake, also with the so close to the DP's they work great at grounding. I unload everything including casting guide on my guardian jetbikes that came in this turn. Hellions were also in a great position to unload their 40x poison shots on some poor DP. I think I even doomed one of them with the farseer too. Good stuff. Ravs shot at bastion, warlord and 1 other dp. I ended up killing 2 DP's and giving a wound on the warlord. Another GLANCE on the bastion or was it a pen but a useless one? dont remember. useless.
2nd turn Chaos:
He moved the warlord in to try to bolt multiple ravagers, he only ended up hitting one and took off 1 lance. endurance was down at this point i believe. Helldrake moved in and tried to flame the harlequins but mega failed thanks to archon. I think just 1 harlequin died. The other DP moved 12" and then made a huge assault (something like 11") and assaulted the harlequins. This was excellent since he didnt go for the very squishy warriors on the objective. Oh helldrake swooped when he came in and took out 2 warriors also btw. Again didnt focus on the warriors! In combat it ended in a tie where both of us did nothing, he challenged archon or farseer and I denied, then rest of wounds were saved. sweet.
3rd DE:
I finally remember to move the warp hunter, staying out of sight and more toward the middle of the city. shot the 3 blasters in warrior squad at the helldrake but whiffed them all. Hellions moved in to posture at the warlord, not being able to get in to combat at this point. Put another 2 wounds on warlord DP leaving him at 1 wound. Combat with the other DP was going well, made a ton of saves from zee good old archon, and i must have done a wound on the dp.
3rd Chaos:
Helldrake flies off the table (yay!). Warlord prince gets endurance, and moves up and bolts the ravagers again (u mad bro?) and immobilizes one, but due to this he cant assault the hellions and is out of assault range against ravs or maybe he forgets. Battlecannon hits and kills a couple of hellions from defiler. He shoots his quads and kills 1 or 2 warriors. pretty uneventful turn. OH, he rolls back a wound on warlord.
4th DE
This is where it starts to get interesting again. I move my warp hunter up and im finally in range of his cultists with the quad gun, I shoot andddd it misses. sweet. but the shuriken cannon manages to kill a guy. meanwhile, I shoot and charge the warlord, somehow he manages to live and kill the baron (nnooooooooo), but it leaves him at his last wound. In the harlequin combat however, I somehow get 2 6's for wounding with archon and he fails a save so instant poof on his dp and I soul trap him getting 6 str on archon. SWEEET! Ravs shot some stuff and continued to be fail. I turbo boost my jetbikes for some insane reason, i mistakenly thought the game can end at the start of turn 5 when its actually the END. Dont know why I did this. OH! also, rolled in Nightwing! YAY! got shot down immediately, even with the 4++.
4th Chaos
Helldrake comes back and tries again for the harlequins and swoops wiping a warrior squad. Harlequins lose another guy but thats it. sweet. Oh and defiler does a no brainer and assaults the guardian jetbikes wiping them. well there goes that plan. In combat the warlord drops though, taking with him like 5 hellions but whatever. I consolidate and head toward the city.
5th DE
I move everything forward, warp hunter takes some shots at the defiler and immobilizes it! This is both strategically great and hilarious, since he just assaulted last turn he was facing the wrong way, so he was immobilized looking away from the board. LOL. I take more pot shots at the helldrake, this time with all blasters and a 2 lance ravager. 5 shots! no sixes... helldrake lives on.
5th chaos
helldrake says TTYL again and leaves the battlefield. I get shot at from quad guns at the warp hunter and he loses a hullpoint. Hellions lose a guy or 2 from various shooting as well. thats about it!
we roll to see if the game goes on........ it does!
6th DE
I move everything forward again, ravs manage to destroy the bastion! oh its so satisfying too, its the 7 catastrophic result. He loses most of both squads that were inside. Warp Hunter waits by a wall and blasts the cultists at the aegis. kills 1 or 2. Hellions lose 2 guys from breaking their legs trying to move thru dangerous terrain (they missed their baron

6th Chaos
Helldrake pops in to say hi again and wipes a squad of warriors. (still 1 left mind you). He focuses his fire on hellions killing about 2 (about 3 left at this point). That really is about all he has left.
ROLL TO SEE IF IT STILL GOES ON (its like 1:30 at this point, we started at 9).... IT DOES!!
7th DE
I move everything forward, hellions are in linebreaker, warp hunter is in linebreaker, i shoot cultists that i can see and do a big blast on them, but its not enough to wipe them. Harlequins are unfortunately too far away to do anything. Here is where I made a fatal mistake that could have won me the game, WHY DIDNT I MOVE THE WARP HUNTER MORE AND FLAME THE CULTISTS! or WHY DIDNT I MOVE RAVS INTO LINEBREAKER!? anyway maybe it was because it was late on a work night, but its these kinds of questions we will never really know answers to.
7th Chaos
He shoots all small arms at hellions and easily wipes them. Quad guns kill the warp hunter. Helldrake says smell ya later who needs linebreaker and the game ends as mysteriously as it began.

So I think its fair to say that mistakes were made on both sides, probably due to intoxication and tiredness. All in all though, one of the better warhammer games Ive ever had. So pissed that I wasted the GJB tho.
