Just a couple of things, as we progress away from the city:

If you want to post something that other characters need to react to, it's better not to leave this until Tuesday evening,

and

It's fine to make multiple posts if, for example, you want to have an in-character conversation (these do not have to be three paragraphs)

Sounds good, Malys. I do think earlier posts are better but, saying that, I don't know when I'll be able to get my next post up. Hopefully soon, but I can't think of what to write at the moment.

I'm sorry guys, my internet is just NOT working right (ten minutes to load a page if at all? Grrrr...).

I'm already onto my ISP but they are, to be honest, not being very helpful. I haven't forgotten you.

You can always use the extra time to plot or post some more conversation (or in some cases, post *nudge*)

Right, my internet seems *crosses fingers* to have improved somewhat. However, we only have posts from 50% of the characters.

This is a bit of an awkward situation as I would normally post anyway to keep the momentum going. But, it's also a probable combat situation, and I really do not want to second guess what anyone does or leave them standing around like puddins* if they would really be running, ducking, diving, leaping and so forth!

Because my net has been misbehaving, I know it's possible that others' has too, but (internet permitting) if you cannot post (or no longer want to!) then could you please post a notification here?

I will give people another day or two to either post ,or state they're not posting, and hope to get the game back on track next week.

Quick question:

Are there harnesses some where on the raider for hanging off the side? Just curious for future posts.

Not harnesses as such, but there are hook attachments to hang things such as harnesses from. I have in mind the places where the models hang off the sides of the model Raider.

Of course you do have until Tuesday evening, but that's not midnight, that's about 7-8 pm GMT.

Just to make people aware, as you know we do have others waiting to play so if someone should miss three posts in a row with no contact and no reason given, then I think that will be time to think about replacing them. I am well aware that there are all sorts of reasons for missing posts, but if someone doesn't even make it back to the OOC thread for the best part of a month then obviously either interest has gone, or they are just too busy. Or possibly ... [true story below!]

As of yet this doesn't apply to anyone, and hopefully it won't Just putting some boundaries on what is and is not good gaming etiquette here. I don't see if as my job to chase people who don't really want to be here, so I will not be PMing people to nag them to post.

Any thoughts? Ideas? Does three posts in a row seem too few, or too many? Let me know


True Gaming Story
Bonus storytime with Lady Malys

Once upon a time there was a local gaming group, of which I was a part. We all used to go to NameChangedToProtectTheGuilty's flat, sit in his living room and play a game, once a week. This went on for a while, then one day, we went round and NameChanged wasn't there.

We looked around, we rang the doorbell, knocked, waited, and waited some more. No-one could get hold of him by 'phone. So we looked at each other, puzzled, and went home.

Next week we went back, having heard nothing from NameChanged all this time. Once again, he wasn't there. No response. Nada.

Still no-one heard from NameChanged, and the GM, puzzled, put the game on hold. Time passed.

Out of the blue, NameChanged contacted the GM.

"Yeah, sorry about not being there, guys," he explained, "my girlfriend suddenly gave birth."

So there you have it. Continued sudden absence. It's either time, apathy or a visit from the stork.

I like the post. I should be back with a functional charger by Monday. if not i'll let you know - cheers. Edit: I know have skype on my phone , too, so if more coherent information is needed contact me that way.

Hi guys! I am back to (un)-reality! I have no excuses for not checking in and posting other than poor time management. I am caught up, and to my great amusement Lady has been writing a very accurate depiction of how Val might react to the goings-on. I put up a post, and it should explain matters nicely. She Who Thirsts will have to claim my soul/party spot another day!
