Scourge and Hellions kit bashing

So I picked up a box of Scourges and have found my new favourite kit. They look sooooo cool! Now that I'm completely obsessed, I've started to think about making a Scourge themed army. 3 x fast attack slot is sorted no problem.

Now for the more complicated part... I'm thinking of kit bashing the scourges, giving them some Hellglaives and running them as counts-as Hellions. Good idea or not?

I'd convert one up as the Baron to make the Hellions a troop choice, and be sorted! I know this probably won't be the most competitive army (I've got my DE list for that), but sounds mega fun!

I'm assuming the Hellglaives can fit quite nicely onto the scourge body? Anyone got any ideas for the splinter pods? I was thinking maybe some wrist mounted splinter pistols, but they are quite huge

Any other cool ideas for this, I'm all ears!

I'd been thinking about that, too. How about mounting a splinter carbine on a glaive/spear and adding the glaive blade to essentially get a DE version of a custodes halberd?

In the old codex the hellion glaive containted the weapon. But how about a shoulder mountet splinter pod?

Thanks, there are some great ideas there. I was thinking of some kind of back mounted weapon similar to a Phantasm Grenade Launcher, but with the wings and the vials it's a struggle to fit them in :p maybe a shoulder mounted one would work. I think I might go for the custom halberd though get one up on Darth Maul that way!

Got some Halberds on order. I might green-stuff the arms to keep them armoured, otherwise a bunch of bare-arms might look silly :p

And for the Baron... That could be fun
