Razorwings in squadrons?

Have just been on the games workshop website and seen the razorwing murder squadron is now listed in the army essentials section.
Can we now take this in normal games and not just apocolypse games? If it is only still in apocolypse games it certainly does not warrant being an 'army essenial'.

The price isn't even a discount from buying three razorwings seperate! GW!

No, no squadrons for us I'm afraid. This is just a pathetic attempt by GW to get us to buy more product. Their "bundles" are the same price as the individual models.

It really doesn't add up to me why almost every other races flyers are fast attack and can be taken in squadrons.

I was going to ask what the point of the murder squadron was (other than a cool name) - I thought I was missing something!

Fast Attack, yes, squadrons, no. It's only the Imperial Guard, that can take a squadron.

And FW grants us also a Fast Attack Fighter, that may not be in squadrons but has a synconised DL and an Uber- Splintercannon for just under the price of 2 Ravangers..... go FW go..

i've ran a raven strike fighter a couple of times, if it was around the cost of a razorwing then i would always take one but at over 200 its just too expensive.

I don't know what FW was thinking with the pricing, especially when one considers the Nightwing, which is mostly idnetical if not better, costs about the same as Razorwing. I'm pretty sure it's a mistake. Back when both were Apoc-only flyers, they costed about 200 points. When they were made into fast skimmers, they got a point drop to around 150. Now that they're glyers again, one got boosted back to 200 points, while the other's cost stayed the same. Add to the fact that the Raven has a special rule that does nothing (Evasive, while the probably meant Agile), it seems they rushed the rules out, possibly using an early version without changing it later. Somebody should really email FW and ask about the thing.
