1850 tournament trying to tweak list

Here is my list I have been playing with it. I am looking to get thoughts on tweaking it. Tournament player around chicagoland area.

List:

Archon (with Incubi) HB,CD,HG,VB,GP,SF, ST and PGL 185

Succubus (with Wyches) CD,HG,VB,AG and PG 95

5 incubi in a raider - Raider has DL, FF,NS and EA 195

3 Splinterborn 2 with splinter cannons in a venom with additional splinter cannon 121

3 Splinterborn 2 with splinter cannons in a venom with additional splinter cannon 121

5 warrior with a blaster in a venom with additional splinter cannon 125

5 warrior with a blaster in a venom with additional splinter cannon 125

5 warrior with a blaster in a venom with additional splinter cannon 125

8 wych squad has a hexatrix, AG,HG, and Shar & Imp in a raider with DL, FF,EA 206

6 Reavers with a arena champion 2 HL and grav talon 176

3 ravagers all DL with FF and NS 375

Total 1849

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Seems good to me. I think it looks very similar to many other lists that i've seen.

ok, my question is do you really need 2 HQs??? With those extra points, you could easily fit in more reavers, or get another troop choice (really big as you only have 4 at 1850)

Also is a huskblade/soultrap archon really needed in a unit of AP2 incubi??? have you thought about running a agonizer instead to save points, and upgrade a incubi to a klaivex to take challenges when the challenger is wearing 2+ armor???

Lastly you have a ton of AI. Is your meta switch to mostly all infantry??? Ive heard of these fabled "foot heavy metas" sadly mine hasn't really switched to it yet, and what few people did went back to their metal boxes when the helldrake came out in fear of its AP3 flamer. I suspect daemons are going to put even more people back into their boxes with their skimmer flamer chariot as well...

Actually Shadow I was blaster born heavy before and seem I lack infantry killing after opening up the cans. I play against a lot of IG and alpha strike armies. Here are the last several armies I have faced DA & Templar, DA and IG, Ultramarine & Grey knights, Chaos and Orks and for the last 2 straight necrons. I do have to admit I am considering an additional vemon with warriors. Believe it or not I have had better luck with wyches then incubi. I also thinking dropping both HQ's for Asdruel Vect. I am trying to use reavers I am in the process of try to use them more efficiently.

On the succubus, AG and PG? That's agonizer and plasma grenades? If so, why shell out for an agonizer when the Venom blade's better against everything non-3+ and you've already got one on the hekatrix in the squad?

Also, has the grav talon been working for you?

I had been wondering if you usually reserved your Incubi, Reavers, and Wyches to save them for clean-up / easy pain token getting on turns 2-4? Given the amount of splinter fire you're packing it seems like it'd be easy to set up those pain tokens.


Your list is about what I run at 1,500. Minus a lot of wargear of course. Something that helped me was trading out the warrior's venoms for two packs of 2 Beastmasters with 4 Razorwing Flocks. Comes to 168 for 44 wounds and almost as many rending attacks. They've been busting vehicles and picking on small units since lately I've been getting diminishing returns on my splinter cannons.

Curse those metal boxes.

Succubus agoniser there for the MC and high toughness. hextrix is there for the challenges.

Grav talon last game help me win it. I pinned a group of marine snipers 10 in all with sniper rifles which let me ignore them for 1 round and kill another squad and then i dealt with them the next round and elminated them.

I reserve the reavers but put the wyches and incubi on the board. It so far been working for me. More people are worried about the ravagers then them.
