| Thanks dragontree. I actually had to paint it twice. The first time I rushed it as I could not face highlighting every scale, but it looked really naff so I had to go back and re-paint the whole ruddy thing. Worth it in the end though | |

| Yay! the Duke has been painted! Hey Spell, the duke is looking really sweet! yeh god id hate the idea of highlighting that cloak! kinda glad I wasn't able to pick any up off bits sites now Any chance we can get a group shot of everything so far?! would look really cool seeing him heading up some warriors or wyches. Had a little lull in drive to model DE/E (the fact that they had to be neat drove me mad - with my orks I could stick gun barrels in eye sockets and it was still awesomesauce!). But managed to turn that around and I just bit the bullet and stopped dancing about which bits to use to make my warriors. I was spending days deciding on a single warrior, but as of last night I managed like 3 in 20 minutes! so finished up a whole 10 man squad, for my raider. What you working on next? still got a few mandrakes left? or something new? | |

| Cheers I will certainly do a group shot in the very near future. Just got 1 more mandrake, 3 lions and 5 warriors to finish and then will get group shot done of the army so far. I understand your pain on the converting problems. Sometimes the mojo just does not flow. Sometimes it is good to shelve a project for a while and come back to it later like you did. Looking forward to seeing your finished model pics. I am currently converting up a special character. The idea popped into my head a couple of days ago so decided just to go ahead and make him while the idea was still fresh. I will get a wip pic posted up shortly as I am on hol (yay) from tmoz so wont be posting anything for a good while. | |

| Hey all. I will be on hol for a while so thought I would do a quick post up of what is on my work bench at the moment. First up is 3 lions in their early paint stage. They have had their manes fully painted, the skin basecoated, washed and first coat re-applied. To do is the highlights and armour. Next up is the mandrake champion. Base colours have been added and washes applied. Next up all highlighting and patterns need to be done. And finally my favourite of the moment. He is a special character from the DE codex that I had sudden inspiration for, so started to convert him up yesterday. Bear in mind that this pic is mid stage and I still have a fair bit to go on him yet before he is finished, but I am very happy with progress so far. Any guesses as to what character he will be representing? | |

| Cool conversions. I really like your mandrakes' base design. I've done the exact same thing (press moulding and stuff) for my Craftworld Eldar army, which you can see on EldarResplendent (link in signatrure)
As for "big guy" I'd assume he's Urien Rakarth since he is too "beefy" to go through as Vect or an Archon. The big, twisted, fleshy guy is quite fitting for a haemonculus. Great use of that Nurgle Lord model!

| Creepy as hell with a giant two-handed weapon? I'm going (out on a giant limb) with the Decrapitator! | |

| ESE convinced me. I change my vote to the decrapitator.
The thought of using that two handed club to knock someones head flying is awesome!

| Hey guys. Typing this drinking pivo (beer) cafe European style on holiday 80 cents for a beer.....yes please! Anyway congrats Ese and silverglade, he is indeed keradruah the decrapitator. No idea why I am making such a lame character but the fluff is pretty cool I suppose and the idea just popped into my head. No doubt he will be shelved along with lady malys when our next codex is released, but hey, who cares right? Wanted him to be quite a contrast with the mandrakes, who are slim and muscly so went with a fat guy holding a dumb bell. He will be painted with a leapord skin loin cloth when I am done converting him, in the style of the old school circus weight lifters. | |

| I like the big guy. Is he supposed to be Urien or the Decapitator? At first I was thinking about Drazhar and then I thought, Wait wait.... Drazhar's fast not fat... it's missing an s | |

| Hey Spell Almost finished my Farseer on jetbike, with his mantle and singing spear, thought you might enjoy Still got a little work to do on where he connects to the mount and I need to work out how to do his base, might go for just a standard flying base and keep it simple | |

| Sweeeeet! Looks awesome solar. Been eyeing up that coven throne kit for a while as it is a great source of bits and works really well on your conversion. A very original take on a jet bike. Installs and idea of a we way type ethereal creature he is riding. Love the flowing cape too and the mod on the helmet is really cool. Gonna have to steal that idea | |

| haha thanks! Yeh i must agree, its a fantastic kit, in terms of parts you get a hell of alot of convertible pieces. Yeh i plan to paint the horse sort of spectral like or ghosty then have him a bit more solid looking. Yeh well I was looking at farseers and they all had fancy head work, I had that base head from the battle wizards kit (something you put me on to) and I realised at work how great those trophie racks would work Im taking a leaf from your book gona paint what I make so hopefully he'll have a lick of colour in a couple weeks! | |
