| Hey guys n gals. Been slowly digesting the new codex and thinking of the new options we can field (and I can convert ). I want to do a archons court unit and was thinking of what models to use. I have my keradruah model that is now without rules, and wanted to represent the slyth as hulking brutes holding lollipops, and this guy fits the bill. I will paint him up and add some snake references on him too (maybe tattoos of snakes and scaly parts to his armour). I am thinking of using the new nurgle lords kit to make another 5 slyth. What do you all think of this idea? (P.s I have not forgotten about the photos of all the stuff I have done so far, just have not had the time to get the all out and snap the pics. I will do it soon I promise) | |

| Oh that is amazong. Im not sure about using the chaos ones though, too many tentacles stuff. Perhaps just some of the Warhammer Ogres? Or look through the Lizardmen stuff if you really want some more Sslyth-ish bits? | |

| Hey grub. Cheers for the reply . I will be removing alot of the chaosy bits from them, so there won't be many tentacles at all left (apart from a few that will be converted into snakes). Good shout out about the lizardman bits. I might use the lizardman swarm for add on parts | |

| Spellcheck, I think you should go for it! I've never been that moved by the snake models for sslyth or the fact that dark eldar suddenly are taking on alien mercenaries. Feels somewhat like a cop out. The sslyth STATLINE, however, is FAR more inspiring a basis for models. I think some Converted nurgle lords could stand in nicely. Also, don't stress the snake links too much I love themed armies in general, and your particular one is an inspiration. Good work! | |

| Thanks Mr Pink . I have heeded your wise words and picked up the box today. I have to say it is an absolutley stunning kit. Kudos to you GW this is one amazing multipart squad. Colour me impressed! I will maybe only do a few nods to the snake slyth in my conversions, as I mirror your sentiment about those slippery mercenaries (and yes they do have some awesome stats). I am really excited to get started on these guys, and it has chased away a bit of the after codex blues I have been feeling. | |

| And so it begins..........beware the lollipop men. It has taken me a while to get to this stage, as there is so many holes and pustules to fill or shave off. Now the fun part starts | |

| I'm interested in what you're planning on doing with the mutated/bloated legs on one or two of the miniatures, as that is the one reason why I haven't done the same thing sans the clown thing for my Sslyths. | |

| @ kinnay. For the one with a hoof I am going to green stuff the hoof into armour, then add loads of wrack syringes and green stuffed tubes so it looks like a haemonculi type modification on the bloated leg. The other will have his foot chopped off and an armoured one re-sculpted. I decided to embrace the mutations on this kit but just try and make them more haemy/dark eldar like. @Grub. Me too. This kit is truly incredible and almost makes me want to start a nurgle force. It is seriously one of the best GW has done so far. Well done GW well done | |

| Thanks guys glad you like him. @ plastikente. They are made from wooden beads I picked up at a craft store, and are then stuffed with greenstuff and the round bits added and smoothed by finger. Lastly the whole thing is sanded to remove defects and make em lovely and lollipopy I have more to come. Keep tuned and prepare your sweet tooth! | |

| Thanks mr P. I did think about puttying the icon over, but decided I am going to paint them in funky colours and add little designs (hearts ect) in each one. This should make them less nurgly hopefully | |

| Oh cooool! Make them look kind of like balloons or something similar? That would be quite the reversal on the whole nurgle angle of rot and ugliness. | |

| Yes that would be awesome to have them as balloons. I will paint little white strings coming off them. Love the idea of the reversal of theme. Great idea mr P | |
