I know it's nice for everyone to share information and knowledge about there armies, but I think it'd be good to make sure Spellcheck doesn't mind this discussion on his project log.

Hey solar. That looks suitably crazy and ork like. It looks awesome, I love all the mixture of bits you have used for it.

Your work is simply amazing. I am in awe of your skill. This is why I love forums like this. Seeing other people's work is very inspiring and makes me want to constantly improve my own.

Thanks for the kind words Patimus. Got inspired myself to start this army after seeing some stuff from another project log and blog (speedfreek's harlequin log and the eye of error blog, both great, check em out if you have the time, well worth it).

Alrighty folks. Time for another update. Life has been super busy recently and I have had these guys sitting on my work desk for over two months half finished. Well I finally had the time to get the last bits done and here they are in all their glory.

I did not want to do too much to them as the original models are so dynamic and awesome already. In the end I decided on a few simple head swaps and additions to bring them in line with my other units. I am loving all the little goggles and re-breathers I picked up from victoria miniatures, they really add a little aerial feel to the heads.

I like these. They're converted to fit in but not to much to stand out in a bad way. They better get some funky looking wings

Tengu yes they will def be painted with brightly coloured parrot wings, much like my razor parrot flocks. I think bit will work quite well and jazz then up enough to fit with the rest of the troupe

But in all i love em, The re-breathers are really nice, The scourge kit is probably my favourite DE kit, it has such lovely movement and the feathered wings are the nicest ive seen in any kits ive seen.

Really looking forward to seeing these slashed with colour just like the rest of this terrific army

Sorry for the late reply guys. life has been busy so I have not checked in for a while. Thanks for the compliments . Painting has been pushed back on my DE for a while as I have been concentrating on my space wolves for a tournament in November. Soon I will post some new stuff I promise

This is my first visit to the Dark City. After having signed up and had a flick through the news and rumours section I decided to get to the meat and spuds of any forum.... The project logs. Where do I start? I wondered, I know I will just look at the last one to be updated... Something about Harlequins and carnivals.....

MIND BLOWN!!!!!!! I've just spent about 4 hours reading through the entirety of the project and can't fathom what I have just seen. This is one of those plogs were each set of miniatures surpasses the last (and the starting quality was already through the roof).

Some of the ideas you have had, along with a fine eye for locating the suitable bits needed has really put a smile on my ugly little face.

I do not know where to begin with picking a favourite. When I was just a few pages in I thought the Hag of Hearts would take some beating but each and everyone of your character sculpts has left me grinning like a.... like a... (well to be honest I don't think I have picked up the DE lingo yet so forgive me for this) like a Haemonculus in a buy one limb get one free sale (pretty lame but I didn't want to upset anyone on my first day).

Anyway Love this stuff, Looking forward to seeing Incubi and Drazhar

Yes, Spell Check's work is beautiful. I'm glad I joined the forum at the right time to watch it from the beginning.

Thanks guys. I am glad you found it interesting Yak. I have had a lot of fun making all the conversions and I think it shows in the finished piece. The only issue with the project it that it takes so long to actually finish anything

The characters are my favourites as I was able to lavish a lot more time into each one and really go wild. I also chose unique models for them whereas the more squad based models are built primarily from the stock kits, just with added parts.

I have been distracted by the space wolves release but plan to update soon with some more painted dark kin. Just gotta choose what to paint...so many things to do

I second this, been pestering for one for awhile
But you know what... I think Spellcheck is a bit of a forumsman, i've seen him with all the other forums, buying them drinks, throwing his sleezy lines at em, buying them gifts.... i remember when he used to bring us gifts! almost daily was his love for us, but now were bottom of the pile

Hahaha only on one other forum with my space wolves stuff . Also got a blog now I have started with a friend a couple of months ago. Fear not though I have not abandoned the dark kin, just had a wee break for a while. I will get an army shot taken then this weekend for you all. Do you want only painted stuff in there or all I have converted so far?

@ lord Alino. I think I can field just over 1500 points of converted/painted stuff jut have unconverted transports ect that I use if I want to game with them

How about, stick all the painted converted one side, then not separate but not intermingled the rest? Looking forward to seeing them.
