| of course, I always use units I have painted up, prefer playing with painted stuff only and mandrakes are just fine now, though I need 3 more for better survivability. Squads of 5 are a bit too fragile.

| Early this year I did the Mandrakes and then I went silent, I was busy with work, I quit during a couple of weeks, but I kept slowly painting stuff up, though I don't have much finished. Truth is I've been working on a ton of stuff at the same time and right now I'm actually busy on highlights only, endless highlights. Stuff is slowly being finished, I did manage to finish off some more stuff and some other stuff is close to being finished, while other models will have to be finished later on. If I continue to paint without too many work interruptions, I'll keep finishing up tons of new models this last quarter of this year. Also a very good piece of news, I'll be ordering FWs very shortly. I've also been distracted by a couple of books: Masque of Vyle is a good book, worth the read, the Carnac one...honestly first story is really bad on all levels, second is good, actually enjoyed it a lot and third is also pretty good, it's a short book, you still go through it pretty fast, though maybe you might want to skip over the first part, it's just horribly written. Now A book that came out recently, Asrumen, very nice book, certainly worth the read, some major new fluff was revealed, my favorite part was: the Fall is described in live as it's happening, very nice to finally have that info. I'm fairly certain more Phoenix books will be coming. I wish I had the time to paint these, I spend some time stripping thme to maybe paint them, but truth is I got so much half painted, I better finish up those models completely before I move on to something else. I really wish I had time to paint some craftworld eldar & some harlequins. Another side project I officially started: A Commorragh terrain, orignally I wanted to get at least 1 board ready for the armies on parade, but again, I'll have to aim for next year. I won't work on this full time, I'll come back to it when I feel like it. Plan is to decorate righly the 6 boards to have a flat base, then all the decorations will come on top, with upper parts, buildings & DE decorations. It's a very ambitious but timeconsuming project, which will very slowly advance, but I'll aim for the base boards to be done at least + 1 with decorations to serve for the armies on parade for next year. ___________________________________________________________________ I've got a ton of WIPs at the moment my painting table is full at the moment, this is one of them, a ravager in the current colors with the current technique, to blend in perfectly with the newer models I also went for some straith all black Skimmers, this one of the WIPs And some of you might recognise the style of the painting, it's the same technique I used on my old incubi, this one will be intended to serve as their transport. I also thinking about maybe putting an incubi gunner in front. I got a ton of other WIPS, infantry vehicles, all in various stages, but the big majority going towards the finishing touches, this will still be a productive year! ___________________________________________________________________________ Now I did finish some minor stuff with a lot more to come in the new months, including this month. I finished off the gunner of the kabalite venom Yeah I'm currently painting some more of the raider stuff I hadn't done yet, all the decorations, the gunners,etc... and also today I finished: Lelith! I kept her make up clean, to show off her famous beauty. Also he knives, I had to break my head over what to do, do fancy knives, do something insane on these knives, I was thinking obsidian for some reason or NMM gold/silver? But in the end I figured: Lelith makes any knife deadly, I'll paint them similar to my other wych knives and add a knife on the base, like she just pick up these knives to fight. The base was slightly converted with some bitz. The sculpt is fantastic, her ass is very nicely done, I'll never understand how they even do such smooth bodyparts. Hope you enjoy watching her as much as I enjoyed painting her. | |

| I'd like to keep the collection in one piece, maybe separate into the different armies, whatever happens at least I hope my Dark Eldar stays together. | |

| I finally finished building all my FWs, the basic models I mean. I'll be heavily converting these 3 Tantalus, basically won't be able to paint these immediately, besides I still got that pile of skimmers to finish before I start painting anything else. I've run out of primer anyway and I need some paints & some brushes too I'll come back to these models later this year, need to finsih the WIPs first, clean off that painting desk. | |

| A lot has happened, havn't posed here in awhile (if you got facebook search Dark Moon Kabal for more regular updates) ,this will be a big update. When I said I was done with all FWs, I lied :p You know me, I never got enough of anything, so I decided both for the sake of spam and the sake of oldschool skimmers to make old raider style Reapers: No time to paint them now, I'll get there eventually, at least they're ready to roll. They're smaller because of the lack of a big sail, but I think they look spot on to the old Aesthetic. You know me, never have enough... I saw a good deal on awesomebay (ebay) and I told myself: frak it, let's go. 9 old skimmers for less than 50 pounds, including the shipping. I used 3 to make the Reapers above. Enough is enough, except for Khain More, bought 2 more venoms, I got a very small number of these skimmers, will need to buy a lot more in the future. Also, I got another current range ravager :p Another nice buy, for the collector in me (available in limited numbers at B days of stores) & got this awesome mini for free buying the book. _____________________________________________________________________________ OK moving on to the painting I've done in the last coupleof months, beside all the buying & building models => For months my desk looked like this: All skimmer pilots, gunners & passengers got painted! A bit of a sideproject, but I also painted these: (trueborn) I finished painted a couple of the old skimmers too: & a ravager too & moving on to current range stuff I had these skimmers painted without the infantry on it, and without the decorations, now they're 100% done (passengers magnetised as well) Also finished painting these boys: 2 wych pasengers, 0 clue where I'll put them, 2 heavy weapons hanging guys, 2 hanging guys for the first tantalus & Tantalus pilot & Reaper pilot. ________________________________________________________________________ Also made bases for the next 2 tantalus Unsure about this last one, might still add some details on it, for the moment i'm either stuck keeping it as it is, or I'll add details on it later on (if you have suggestions, shoot) As their crew is painted already, I'll start painting these 2 very soon. The only reason I havn't painted them, is because of these guys: they're the venom crew, as well as the pilot from the Coven Tantalus. I'll paint the venoms after the 2 FWs. | |

Sometimes I have trouble believing myself all these are mine, it's always appreciated when others also enjoy my minis, thx. ___________________________________________________________________________________ Update: Bought this lil guy last week, assmebled him, he's ready to be painted in the future. otherwise I've been working on the FWs I worked a bit on the interior parts a bit Sails are done, they came out good I started painting the hull on both, took surprisingly long to do the base layer, I did the gun on the reaper on sunday, I'll post either more WIPs or just the finished products, I'll see.

Marker/stencil for the lines, had to do a fair bit of testing to get it right, also the way I painted the sail helped, won't spill what exactly I did, I want these sails to be unique :p - Rhivan wrote:

As long as you don't do bigger than mine, otherwise I'll see it as a challenge to expand aggresively. People have huge Imperial armies, huge nid swarms, why not a massive Dark Kin raiding force?

Don't think I'll be able to for a while, and I'm converting my army to making it even more of a challenge. - Quote :

Well there isn't a reason. It's an excuse to buy more of the best looking models in the game

| Dude! That's probably the first piece of DEldar terrain I've seen that actually captures the grandness of Commorragh. Very impressive can't wait to see it finished! | |
