1250 Local tourny

Greetings fellow archons. Some help if you please, I have recently turned from our cousins

I have a tournament coming up in a few months.

I will be facing(roughly):
Imperial guard, horde conscript spam (100+)
Space marines (2 tac squad in rhinos, devas w/ rockets, sniperscouts, Libby with as many termines as poss)
Space wolves (deep strike death star)
CSM obliterators demon allies
CSM death guard


My current list

Haemy w/ venom blade (going with wyches)

These guys are my friends, they don't own mech..other than the IG who may field up to 3 leman russes. This is why I am blaster and dark lance light..

I have a spare raider.. lots of wyches and warriors.. some reavers..a ravager..a venom..incubi..archon..10+ hellions

I think that maybe the reavers are a waste of points..and that adding extra splinter cannons to the venoms and taking another would be a possility..

you want more reavers, 3 wont do squat (sorry to say) and if you dont have anymore then i beg you to get rid of them and add some more warriors

Yeah!! All of my mates are very foot slogger based.. we've played together for over a decade and they've never really adapted play style from how we started.. I believe the csm with demon allies has the potential to bring a heldrake but he doesn't own one currently...

I do have the capability to field 3 more reavers.. I was just concerned with the tactical viability.. I considered two vanilla units of 3 using them to engage ahead of wyches so they aren't hit with overwatch.. which considering the footsoldier firepower meta... could hurt me on the charge..quite heavily..but then..is using reavers for that a waste of points so then another bundle of warriors in a raider... or maybe a disintegration ravager?

Reavers shine for their bladevanes, which is why they are fielded in larger squads of 6 or even 9. If you need some mates for your wyches, you can take a unit of 6(especially since you need not fear our enemy the heldrake) to bladevane the tar out of a unit before you charge it with wyches. However, if you do this you might consider swapping that agonizer for cluster caltrops for the same cost. Also, if you're expecting minimal mech presence you might even take 3x disint. cannon ravagers, maybe putting extra points into another blasterborn venom or something. Those are all pretty minor though, the list seems solid.
