Baron is very good with Beasts but even he doesn't allow khymerae to throw grenades. They just get the effects of assault (and defensive) grenades.

There's an argument that it would be allowed under a strict reading of the relevant rules but I've never seen anyone attempt to use it.

Yes but one cannot throw an assault grenade. it needs to have a type like plasmagrenade or frag or something.

Assault grenades have their own shooting profile (page 61).

Again, I've not seen anyone try this but strictly speaking I think it's legal.

Legal, but you really have to go all rules lawyer and it doesn't really make sense. It would really make a little more sense to toss the grenade from the Baron in the shooting phase since he has the higher BS. 2 poison shots aren't going to make or break you.
