The Dark City UK Meet Up - Throne of Skulls Nov 13

We've been discussing in a thread recently that a lot of us in the UK have been going to the Throne of Skulls events, doing well and having a great time.

What I think could be great is meeting up at one particular event and raid it with as many members of the forum as possible, a real realspace raid!

I'll be going to the Throne of Skulls in November and it'd be great if as many of you as possible could make it. Let me know in this thread if you're up for it.

Now this sounds tempting, I know a few guys from my club go to the throne of skulls events, if I can get the rules down a bit more between now and then I might be able to get along.

I'm planning on going to the September one but not sure I'll be able to make November too. The wife is not that generous!!

I dont know much about the Throne of Skulls. Do they host it often? Multiple times a year?

I'll have to see about budget concerns and which events the group of guys I normally go with will be at, but if I'm there I'll certainly come and bother fellow TDC denizens

Anyone know what date this is likely to be? Looks like I'm not now going to the September one but if it's any weekend other than the 23rd/24th I can probably do November.

Calendar on the website doesn't go that far, but the post title suggests its on the 13th.

I think that's Nov (20)13. Or at least, that's how I read it. Plus the 13th is a Wednesday.

i am planning on being in the uk at such a time i could conceivably take my warhammers around the world .... though travel costs would be steep ... maybe i will just come and meet and greet

What kind of tournament ToS is? Is it worth to pay app. 300€ to attend it? I need to Fly to london First then take a train (best choise?) to Nottingham. I might be interested in participating November 9th.

I've only ever been to the Battle Brothers (doubles) events at Warhammer World but they're a good laugh. Details of ToS are here

The events are not too serious in terms of gameplay. You don't get too many WAAC players, probably because it's at Games Workshop and they're not into that sort of thing. Forge that narrative baby!

The 9th? Either WD or the GW website made a booboo. WD says 2nd.

WD made a boo boo, it's 9th and 10th.

I think I can still make the 9th so hopefully not a problem.

Not going to make this one. Going to be job hunting and will be low on cash until I find something stable.

Tickets and hotel booked. Now just need to come up with a list that stands a vague hope of being competitive against all the Taudar I expect to see there.

I will leave all you british to go there, but I want to know how it went!

Looking forward to the tournament this weekend. Hope to meet up with Sky Serpent for a beer at some stage. Winning at least one game is my goal for the tournament. My mate is aiming for best painted!
