| Hi there! Was wondering if anybody out there could give me a good weapons choice for my 2 squads of 10 scourges. Thanks.

| haywire blasters are the best choice if you have to use scourges...
heat lances are used if you dont expect them to do much other than deepstrike and die. Splinter cannons and dark lances we can get on better platforms

| Man thats a ton of scourges and Im not even gonna ask why.
Anyway this is theory on my part but I wouldnt want to waste carbine shots to fire at tanks so id say...nothing, since SCs seem to me too expensive for the volume you gain. otoh I would consider a solarite with VB for LD and a little punch to finish off weakened units since these guys will be in close.

| Great... I never thought of them as cannon fodder. Thanks.

| I have the 2 sq's of 10 for the theme of my army. Win or lose; no matter. I would just like to outfit them he best I can so I could do some damage. Thanks.

| Haywire blasters, hands down. I run a squad of 5 with 2 haywires, and they've worked really well. Whatever you go with, I'd recommend sticking to one type of special weapon to maximise damage output (whether you use all 4 available is up to you). | |

| Agree, HWB are the best choice. Makes them a threat to armor, but still have AI with the shardcarbines if there are no armor targets available. | |

| Make them swooping hawks in an allied elder detachment. They are fantastic in the new dex and heavens know they look better than the default models for them... | |

| Possibly... still a bit iffy on using the allies just yet. My gaming crew are not to keen on that idea but they'll come around. Besides.. I'm Dark Eldar! What did they expect, right?
The allies thing works like this, right??? 1 HQ 2 Tp 1 of everything else
Thanks

| yep that's it. in all honesty scourges really shine in allied detachments where your trying to maximize poison output. We don't usually take them because we can get splinter cannons elsewhere for cheaper (venoms) but in an allied detachment you can get three venoms at most. That's where the scourges come in with their wealth of splinter shots! (you can get 72 splinter cannon shots in an allied detachment this way and well over a hundred shots in total or roughly enough to kill a riptide) Just an idea for you, maybe use ten of them as swooping hawks and the other ten as proper scourges in an allied detachment? | |

| I thought about having small 5 man units packing 2 blasters to serve as some sort of mini-trueborn.
140 point cost, i think that's rather point efficient, that can output 11 shots, 2 of which likely to kill something or crack a tank.

| I also run 2 x 5 scourges with HWB. They perform very well for me but yes they die quite fast but by then they have more than repaid their cost. They pop open a transport (sometimes it only takes that one shot) and then kill off what's left. In my meta I would never leave home without them as they do so well. | |

| or put 10 of them with 4 HWB behind a defence line, and add a farseer and guide them
3's to hit with re-rolls and glancing on 2's is just awesome
